Likes
- The infrastructure of classrooms and labs are very neat and specious where every students can work properly and peacefully.
- The faculty members are also very nice and helpful. They often solve problems of students whenever the students faced any difficulties.
Dislikes
- The campus is very small according to other colleges it only have two academic buildings. The wifi connection is also very poor.
- The faculty members lack of management skills for which it often clash between the students and the professors.
Remarks :
There are no group discussion or interview process to get admission but we have to attend one exam which is CET. The CET is totally based on our merit and it was held through online using webcam. We were only studying previous question paper of this exam and in this way we prepared it. The cut-off criteria is for admission in this course who got 60% or above in 10th and 12th exams.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose BCA because it is all about computer related technology and science. The qualification of the faculty is mainly of Phd. Their teaching is method is so fluent and understandable and there were also helping us for solving problems. There are 2 semester exam held per year and the difficulty level is often tough but it actually depends on subjects.
Internships Opportunities :
The companies that offer for internship is TCS, Wipro, infosys, Mindtree etc. There is mainly two types of project in the final year. Major project consist of computer technology and minor project consist of industry.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for getting a placement is 75% or above. The IT companies like TCS, Wipro, infosys, Mindtree etc and other companies like axis bank, phonepe, ICICI bank visit in our college for placements. The highest package is 8 LPA and the average is 4 LPA. Almost 85% get of students get placement. My plan is getting academic job Or core job in companies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee per semester is 30,000 which includes all the mention fees like tution fees, lab fees, development fees, and other charges. After getting into the college there is a college uniform which is given by college and it takes charge for that. Per semester the fees is 30,000. We can apply for SVMCM scholarship. Per year the fees structure increases. In the year 2024 the amount increased by five hundred rupees per semester it is 30,500.
Campus Life :
In our college the fest name is verbena committee which is held in mainly in the month of august Or September. We have a common librery through which we can get limited books which we are having as our subjects. The classrooms are big in size and enough space for settlement. The labs are also very specious. Sports are held in the month of march per year and other extracurricular activities are oftenly held 1 or 2 in a month. Social groups are formed in Instagram, Facebook, whatsApp etc.
Hostel Facilities :
There is hostel facilities in our college. We have a cafeteria. There were several foods in their menu list. We can easily order those foods and paying for those foods. The food quality is good and hygienic.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
