- The campus is nice. It's gull of nature, you'll love it.

- Their washrooms are very bad. They are not clean, no hygiene is being maintained.
- English medium students will face problems in understanding the lectures.
Remarks :
It happened accidentally. I wanted to study psychology but I missed their meeit list. So philosophy was the only option. I thought let's take admission into this course then i'll change into psychology. On that time I didn't do any research about calcutta university requirements. I was told if I want to study psychology, my one year will be wasted. So, I have to stick to philosophy. For admission, you have to qualify the basic requirements like marks upto 60%. But you s you have to keep foloowing the merit list, if you miss it out, you may loose the chance. Furthermore, there's no interview rounds. Once your name will appear in the final merit list, you just have to go for the document verification. That's it. The process is easy.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The department that I am enrolled in is pretty good. But if your medium is english, you must face difficulties as they give preference to Bengali medium more. Still, there are few teachers who provide notes in English but some teachers only teachea in Bengali. So, if you are a student who don't know Bengali and your medium is English only, all the best to you. I have to study from chatgpt and youtube videos but there are few topics whose videos are not on youtube so I don't even have the basic knowledge about them but still I appeared in the exam and passed. They are very consistent with exams, as per University's notice they conduct exams after every 6 months. Well, pro tip is here: if you want to score good you don't have to study much. Just follow previous years question paper. Alternate years questions always repeats so if you are preparing for any civil service exams, you can save your time.
Internships Opportunities :
You won't get such opportunity here. If you want to do internship, you have to do it from outside. They only focus on teaching, attendance. I don't know why but they are very fond of attendance. Like even if you are sick, without any proof they'll declare you a liar.
Placement Experience :
Honestly, no placements. You'll get information regarding placements but that's not takes place in our college. You have to visit other colleges. They don't offer any placements opportunities to their students.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fee is 1950 every year. After that you have to pay examination fees and all it wipp cost around 450 or 350. Yes but if your attendance is low then you have toh pay 100 rs extra. The fee structure is same for all the categories and it's quite decent I think. Yes, they offer many scholarships that government provides. I was not eligible but if your are eligible you can apply. Many of my classmats have received the amount.
Campus Life :
Yes, there are many clubs and you can join them as per your interest. People are friendly there, but yes mostly programmes and all here are conducted in Bengali. So, keep your exoectations low. In the month of December, they always conduct a fest called Aalap, here they call some known Bengali Bands. You'll enjoy I guess. Library facilitu here is good. I never purchased any books, I always borrow them from the library. You'll get all the books that's required in your subjects. Here, you'll get books only for educational purpose. Their classrooms are pretty good, nice infrastructure. BSCS is the group of students, that they run. You can search this on Instagram too.
Hostel Facilities :
No, I stayed in PG as hostel was far from the college. It's in the salt Lake area. So, I stayed in a pg near our college. It costed 2500 only per bed. Rest you have to arrange your food on your own. But I knew how to cook so I ised to cook. You can also eat in the college's canteen. The prices are very convenient and they offer healthy foods only.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
