- The campus life feels ethereal, the ruch greenery works as a stress buster for all, be it students or the faculty.
- The faculty are extremely kind and generous, helping students to actively get in touch with them to get rid of the minuest of the doubts
Dislikes
- Since it is a government institution, we do not as such pay much of the maintaince fees, so I feel the infrastructure can be improved
- More of recruiters for engaging with the placement cell, will be beneficial for the students
Remarks :
This is the first women's college in Asia, which in itself makes it stand out, the college is very famous all across indian for its BA programmes, my 12th board marks matched with the cut off and I was extremely lucky to get in here.
Course Curriculum Overview :
History in itself gives an opportunity to a student to delve into the past, how the changes and the incidents have shaped to form a "modern world" today. The faculties are NET-SET qualified, with most of them having a P.hd degree, rest hole a master's in the discipline they teaching Each semester takes place in 6 months, and difficulty level varies from moderate to difficult
Internships Opportunities :
I have interned with a students body named the Sangharsh Empowerment Foundation under the Arogya Project and I've interned from the state archives of west bengal where they gave me an open environment to utilise my skills that I've learned after studying history by engaging in tasks like pagination, digitisation etc.
Placement Experience :
The college has a placement cell, where companies like TCS is a regular recruiter. Students (from both science and arts streams) have been recurited with package ranging from 300000 to 600000 So far around fourteen students have been placed from our preceding batch. I intend to remain in the academic sector in future.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees consisting of 2 semesters is 1950 for BA programmes without laboratory charges. Scholarships include the ones given by the government on merit and quota basis ranging from 12,000 to 25,000 Tuition fees (yearly) 450/ Session charges (yearly consisting of maintanence and everything) 1,500 Fees of other candidates (as per quota) does not vary in this regard
Campus Life :
The annual fest that takes place is called "Aalap" The library (both science and arts) have a rich collection of books for the students and teaching faculty, open 6 days a week. Annual sports meet takes place on the last working day of December and the college encourages it's students to participate in all inter college and intra college activities. The college has clubs for students namely the drama club, nature club, debate club etc. The college students are elected as student representatives every one year.
Hostel Facilities :
I did not available for hostel. But as per as I've heard, the food quality is average and recently the mess system has been introduced where the students are asked to look into the fooding, enabling them to choose the dishes as per their requirement and overlook the cooking sector as well

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
