Remarks :
The brand value of the college plays a important role for me to choose this college. But when it comes to the teaching and other amenities it didn't stand on my expectations. And there was no such GD, Interviews or test taken for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was pursuing CA and it would be easier for me to study and most of the subjects in this course were similar and related to it. Teachers were well qualified but there teaching practices were not as good as it should be and some of teachers had no experience in particular subjects yet they were teaching it and making it difficult for the students to understand and complete the syllabus in time. We use to have cia during mid of the semester and final semester exams, the exams used to be quite difficult as the syllabus was huge and most of the chapters were uncovered nor any notes were provided from the faculties.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, but it was an unpaid internship. We are required to do internship before our 5th semester, it should be for consecutive 2 months and must be offline for any opening and you must be having a certificate or letter from such office. And no such opportunities were available from college.
Placement Experience :
If you're planning for the placement from the college then you must do well in every semesters and try not get any arrear in any of the semesters as it plays a important role for the jon opportunities as many of the companies with good package won't allow students with previous arrears to appear in the interview. Some of the famous recruiters are EY, D.B. Desai, etc. Highest package is 15Lpa and average is 3lpa and most of the profiles offered are for analyst or for sales. I'm studying for a professional degree.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
You're required to pay a fee like 60k per semester upto 80k if you're having lab or any computerized subjects, now the fees has increased by 5k to 10k along with the number of semesters. You need to pay the fees per semester in 2 installments. And you're required to pay 37k for bcom morning and 55k for evening and fees will be double for every semesters for the evening batch as it's not subsidized. And all tuition, caution, library and other fees were included in it. If you're choosing any practical or computerized subject as ypur elective subject you've to pay more as compared to others in sem 5, 6, 7 and 8. There is no such scholarship programme but if a student is in a need of concession should meet VP.
Campus Life :
It doesn't have a interesting campus life as most of the time students are required to stay in the classroom and are only allowed during the break to go outside, there are many clubs if you want to be a part for experience, exposure and many more opportunities as per your interest. And infrastructure could have been better for the fees they are charging. We use to have Xavotsav in the month of February which is a 3 day fest and many artists are invited and many intra college events takes place and sometime it's inter college too for few events. No such amenities were provided in the classroom other than projector and screen, air conditioners doesn't function properly and it's a real problem during summer. Many sports events use to take place, that are inter department for football, cricket , table tennis, etc. Groups or clubs like XADAM, Student coucil, XMS, XFS, XCS, EDC are some of the popular one run by students themselves.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
