Likes
- Faculties are very supportive and highly educated. The teaching atmosphere is great.
- The infrastructure of the temporary campus is pretty good. The permanent campus is expected to be completed by mid - July of this year.
Dislikes
- A few teachers are not able to control the class. Temporary faculty is hired for humanities courses.
- The lack of permanent campus leads to problems with conduction of events. Our events are conducted in Kalyani University Auditorium.
Remarks :
Good aspects :- Good environment. Professors are great and supportive. Presence of other colleges in the vicinity. Close to Kolkata. Bad aspects:- Lack of permanent campus. Quality of students is not good. No such extra rounds. Just JEE marks.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course due to the popularity of Computer Science in recent years. The faculties are great and highly qualified. Exams are conducted every 2-3 months and the level is not fixed but difficulty increases with seniority.
Internships Opportunities :
I have no experience and knowledge on that. I am working on some projects with people from my college. Coding culture in the college is nice. Everyone is involved in something and everyone shares there experiences.
Placement Experience :
Eligibility as given by the company. Highest package is 44LPA. Average is around 12 LPA. Around 90 percent of students get placed. I plan to apply for placements, mainly off-campus. The support from the college towards placements is good.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tuition fees - 110000 Student Activity Fee - 1430 Infrastructure Maintenance - 550 Examination Fee - 750 Grade Card Fee - 200 Accidental Medical Insurance - 750 Fees is same for all categories with no concession from the institute. Although other scholarships are available for reserved categories.
Campus Life :
Life at campus is average as we lack permanent campus, but the temporary campus works well for now. Social life is good. Seniors are supportive with no ragging at all. No fests are conducted, but we have some pretty good hackathons with StatusCode being our flagship event. Books and journals are available and can be ordered at the end of each semester. Amenities are great with AC classrooms. Sports and extracurricular activities are conducted regularly. There are many clubs and events are conducted regularly.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel infrastructure is good. Food quality is as it is in every college hostel, but menu at least has variety. The hostel cost is not too much. There are rooms for 5, 3, 2, and 1 person. Rooms are allotted as per registration number and can not be selected.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
