I searched about institutions who provide B.tech in biotechnology then I see review of this college and It seems pretty good. I got admission here based on my JEE rank. And no interviews are there. So every can apply for it in Josaa and csab rounds.
Course curriculum is very well maintained. Academic syllabus is very good compared to many Of the IITs. Faculty is also good . Some faculty members are very supportive and some have attitude and rude. But overall branch and college is good.
Now I am in my second year and I am applying for internships. All teachers and institute helps to find internship oppertunity. Teachers give me suggestions and refferal also for internships and jobs.
Placement records are good and many of the companies visit every year. And records of all branch placement are also good. In my biotech many of the students go for higher studies so they are not applying for any job opportunities here.
Fee of my academic is 68000 and my hostel fee 25000. Fee waiver is also here. Many of the students have income certificate below 1 lakh and below 5 lakh so they can access fee waiver directly here. Majorly fee is not increasing in b.tech.
My college life is very chill . Our campus is not big but well maintained in terms of cleanliness. But here fest celebration is very low. I don't know why but major fest is 1 or 2 in 1 year that is feeling like scam for all of us.
As you know hostel food is only for survival. Joke's apart mess food is ok ok. Some hostels have big rooms and some have small but majorly student get bigger rooms and infrastructure of hostels are amazing. After admission you can online apply for hostels.
if you are above 6.0 cgpa and no reappears and backlogs your are eligible for 70 % of companies. recently TCS,AMAZON,COGNIZANT also came for placement highest is 51LPA,6LPA avg. 80% of each batch is placed.
To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.
As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
