- one of the best and beautiful campus in kolkata . Basketball court where you can dump out ur stress by hitting the ball. spacious grounds to play any game of your choice
- helpful faculty. canteen though not too big but yet helpful
Dislikes
- the college should have got a bit more space as compared to THS
- right now, learning to sustain in whatever got here because expt this all other colleges in the area are mere schools.
Remarks :
The admission in this college is solely on the basis of your respective jee mains and wbjee ranks. 10% management quota is also there.For management quota you can get consulation from trustful youtube channels. For admission in electrical,a low jee mains percentile somewhat between 91-93 will work out .
Course Curriculum Overview :
TBH this college is atleast one of the good options in kolkata , mind it , I'm not telling the best. your 1st year faculties are all nice, generous and helpful . Most of the teachers here hold a masters degree from Calcutta or Jadavpur University . Some of them are doing phd. and have and experience of above 15+ years. You can always reach out to them if you have any doubt .
Internships Opportunities :
currently,i'm in first year of my college. but yes, there is a compulsory internship in 3rd yr of college for deserving students and ofc its classification is purely on the basis of cgpa. but some meritorious students start off their journey through off campus internships from statups and all right from the 2nd yr of the college. GDG sessions of the college will be enough to give u a clr idea about it.
Placement Experience :
The minimum cgpa rqrd. to sit for placements is 7.5 but a few companies also allow for 6.5 ones. If you are in 1st yr to change the branch you have to score atleast 8.5. Talking about the placements.a few good companies like IBM , Wipro , Infosys etc visit our college. TCS is the food giver for majority. a few core companies also visit. highest package is 12-13 lpa and avg is 5-6 lpa. Some students prefer higher studies too. in core, primary focus for students is GATE and related exams. aprrox palceement percentage is 60-70.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees per semester is 69000 rs. it is same for all. No reservation quota is there for semester fees. Exam fees is to be given every semester. A few students also avail the scholarship like swami vivekanand and other states like that bihar credit card one.During the time of admission you need to pay 97000 rs.
Campus Life :
There are a lot of clubs in the college. For fests , there is a huge NO, colleges like techno and all have a minimal fest but here you have to spend your clg life without fests. THS has a fest named YOUTHOPIA.nwe have annual sports week here,all the students are encouraged to participate in that. it is quite joyful and engaging.NSS, dance club , HFC , drama and music club are few of the dominant clubs here, for intellects, literary and science clubs are also there.
Hostel Facilities :
So the hostel facility is only for girls inside the campus. we have 3-4 hostels with a capacity of 250 girls. The saddest part is the here you will not be able to the nightout wala hostel life. the in timings are 8 and 7.30 for summers and winters respectively. if you are not comfortable with hostels. you can easily get flats and pgs near hussianpur or kalikapur area..which is 15-20 mins walk from the campus. the food in the hostel is ok.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
