- The best thing about college is the library. We can study there calmly and borrow any books which we want for some days. The faculty of this college is highly educated and tell us more deeply about the insights of the real world..
Dislikes
- I don't think there is anything to dislike about this college but I can tell one thing there is no lift for students to climb up to 3 Rd or 4 th floor and there are less number of rooms who have AC
Remarks :
I think this is the best college in Kolkata that's why I have chosen this college I have not face any type of test for admission. If I score more than 90% marks in class 12 then I can get admission in this college. Cut off is around 90% for CBSE 85% for WB and 88% for ISC.. One can get admission in this clg only if he have taken maths in his class 12 examination...
Course Curriculum Overview :
I have chosen this course bcoz this college is best for B. COM in Kolkata. The faculty of this college are very good and help us in solving our doubts in every question where we need them. Exams were conducted four times a year . It will be so much difficult. If someone think that they can pass without studying then it's not possible in this college.
Internships Opportunities :
There are so many internship opportunities available with this college I have not opted but I can tell u that this college can provide best internship opportunity in or outside India. They also give stipends . Companies like Deloitte, kpmg come for internship program..
Placement Experience :
There are placement opportunities for 2nd, 3rd or 4 th year students.. They can be placed at various companies like zomato, Tata etc.. Big companies of country come to this college for campus placement they offer a package of 2-20 lakhs based on knowledge and skills. 10-15% students can get placement very easily from this college..
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees of this college is around 40000p.a. for morning students and 70000p.a.for evening students. The yearly fees inclue all the fees there is no need to pay any extra money for library fees or lab fees etc.. Students whose parents having low income may get scholarship of 50-60%.There are some scholarship available for those who have secured more than 60% marks in semesters
Campus Life :
Xavotsav is the fest which is conducted every year in January. There are lots of books and journals in the library. The best thing in this college is the library of this college. There are multiple sports available which can be played at professional levels also. There are so many societies like XCS, XMS, HULT etc...
Hostel Facilities :
I have not opted for hostel but I can tell u about it bcoz my friends have opted for it and they told me that the hostel rules are very strict and it's good thing because parents can send their students in this college without any hesitation. Food quality is also average.. It can be affordable for upper class people..

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
