The old heritage of the college with many stalwarts of the nation having studied in this college, it makes me utterly proud to be able to become a part of the college. With a long history of producing many prominent figures who have significantly contributed to our nation, the institution embarks on a memorable journey here. To gain admission, prospective students must clear the CULET-UG entrance exam. Achieving a high rank in between 1 to 300 on this test is expected, as it puts candidates in strong competition ensuring that only the most dedicated and capable students are welcomed into its prestigious university.
The course curriculum is competitive and provides enough exposure to intricate facets of legal studies. The faculty is really amazing, providing in-depth classes on each subject. Other than that, they also help us solve doubts and give us notes for writing suitable answers in the exams. The library of the college has a different atmosphere with different categories of law books to fulfill the needs of all law students studying there.
Internships can differ from interests that each student possess, be it in litigation, corporate, or banking. So, it is up to student in which area of internship, he or she would like to join in order to get experience that would be instrumental in their future career building, The teachers and seniors are there to help in guiding students in the suitable way to go.
There is yet to be organised a proper placement cell for providing placement for spring lawyers and advocates. However, there is suitable coordination among seniors, teachers and students in providing network of opportunities to get placements.
The fees of the college are quite affordable, making it an excellent option for all people irrespective of their economic background. The total fees of the 5-year law course come affordably under 12,000 rupees. SC/ST/OBC students and those who have genuine financial needs can avail of financial aid from the college. Semester fees are approximately 750 rupees per even semester and 795 rupees per odd semester. Hostel fees are also comparatively lower and come within 2000 rupees per year, with 1500 rupees per month for food expenses. Other than that, there are also the library, sports and other facilities without any hidden costs.
The social and campus life is full of different activities. To facilitate them , there are various committees like the debate committee, moot court committee, magazine committee, journal and seminar committee, ADR committee, cultural committee, etc. There are all different types of seminars and workshops organised especially for the faculty students to improve their real life skills. The seniors are amazing providing enough resources to adjust in the college life.
The hostels have a separate building for both boys and girls. The hostel rooms are quite accommodative and provide enough private space for students. The fee of the hostel is quite nominal around 2000 rupees per year with 1500 rupees per month for food. Also, there are open playground, common room, events for the students.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
