Remarks :
The admission process was done through written entrance exam. The exam was conducted in Kolkata and was a pen paper test. The test included questions from all sections including English, general knowledge, current affairs, logical reasoning, arithmetic and subject specific questions. The selection of college is based on the cut off and All India Rank followed by a counselling process. The college has a dedicated and experienced faculty which makes it a hub of knowledge.
Course Curriculum Overview :
A law degree opens doors to a wide variety off career paths. One can choose to become a judge, lawyer, legal advisor or work in corporate law, human rights, intellectual property or environmental law. The college offers a well rounded curriculum that includes various specializations in law, allowing students to pursue areas of their interest. The faculty has a wealth of experience in both teaching and practice which offers students a balanced perspective on every aspect of law.
Internships Opportunities :
The students are free to intern anywhere in the country with any specialization they prefer. Although the faculty and alumni act as the support system the students are required to work on their skills rigorously.
Placement Experience :
The college has a strong alumni background which acts a base for placements. Though there is a variation from the traditional placement method the students can pursue their career in judiciary, law firms, corporate law, journalist, legal advisors and academicians.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for BALLB course is Rs.1500 per year. The course is divided in semester system. The fees does not increase and there is an admission fees of around Rs 2000 at the beginning of the course. This includes fees for sports, library, caution fees etc. For OBC, SC, ST the fees is lower as per the college guidelines. The college itself does not provide scholarship but the students are eligible for other government scholarships such as OASIS, Swami Vivekananda scholarship, Kanyashree etc. these are based on merit cum need as per the government guidelines.
Campus Life :
Our college has wide range of extra curricular activities hosted. This includes moot court competitions, debates, seminars and quiz competitions. Apart from that various other cultural activities such as fests, festivities, sports and non academic ventures are supported by the faculty. The faculty guide us in every possible way to achieve our goals. The college also has a rich and modern library with all the facilities.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel is fully furnished with lush green campus. The food provided has homemade touch and prepared fresh everyday. The cuisine Includes Bengali as well North Indian food. The hostel fees is approximately Rs. 2000 per year for rent and Rs. 1500 per month for food. There are also other facilities such as badminton ground and various indoor games.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
