- The thing I like most about my collage is it's environment, it provides you quality facilities, quality professors, and quality students as well.
- Second thing I like the most is the college library. It's big and filled with lots of books. I spent lots of my time in the library.
Dislikes
- First of all i dislike that distance between the college campus and the college hostel, you have to walk for 20 mins to reach your college
- I also hate the long stairs. Sometimes I need to climb 4 floors in the hot summer of Kolkata.
Remarks :
I was confused after 12th board that what course I should pursue, I like physics so one day I searched in Google for best college's in India for physics and it showed Xt. Xavier's somewhere I guess. So I did research about it and I found that it's quite good. When I visit the college also i found it has a great environment for study, So I decided to study in Xavier's. For my course there was no Written exams, the addmission was based on the 12th board result.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Actually the course curriculum, Academics and Facilities are better than what expected before taking addmission in the college. First of all they provide a great environment, the students and facilities are se good. Faculties help as in everywhere, academically and non academically. The professors are so experienced and highly educated.
Internships Opportunities :
It is quite easy to opt any internship here in Xavier's. The teachers mentor you personally and they help you to get internships. I'm personally not experienced internships yet, so I have not much knowledge about it.
Placement Experience :
I completed my first year and now I'm in the second year, third semester so the placement experience of mine is little less. But I heard from the seniors that the college offers good placements. After some days I'm going to have my internships. It is easy to get internships here, the mentorship programs are always going on. I heard that the average package is like between 5 to 6 LPA. I'm planning to complete my graduation with good marks and then MSc. , PhD etc.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Admission fee for my course was around 40000. Then the semester fees are around 25000. This fees includes everything. There is many scholarship options, for financially needy people and from government also.
Campus Life :
Campus is Beautiful, clean. One will never get bored, It's always fun in Xavier's. There are lots of clubs or societies, you can join them. The collage, depertment and society events are always going on. Almost every class has AC, the classes are clean. There is labs, library, play ground and many more things. The fest is known as Xavotsav, in January it is conducted and it's a 3 days program. The library is huge, you can get almost every book, journals that you'll need.
Hostel Facilities :
I was in the hostel in the first year so I know almost everything about the hostel. Girls and boys both hostels are there. Applying for the is Hostel is not a tough job, you can apply for the hostel from the website just after you selected in the college. Xavier's hostel is known for it's restrictions and strictness. The mess food is hygienic, tests good and has variety. You can have veg and non veg both items, they provide special dinner every Saturday. Hostel provides breakfast, lunch, tiffin and dinner.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
