- The college infrastructure is just like any other government place. Though, there is a 'anti ragging' commitee.

- Campus life here is dull. You get here, attend classes and after that there is barely any activity to involve in.
Remarks :
If you are looking for a morning college or planning to do some other course side by side with your graduation, then this college is your destination. The morning timings are flexible and early, which helps in utilizing the whole day for whatever varying purpose. I was working while doing my graduation and it has never been an issue with my education here. I easily used to attend classes and then straightaway head to the office. The admission process is completely online, you have to be extremely vigilant with the notice uploads on the college portal.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I always wanted to study history, so I got my desired subject combination here. The professors are efficient enough and do the best in their capacity to help us, rest, things are not spoon-fed here. They give notes timely. I did a three-year course with honors and had six semesters. Being a government institution, the fees for the courses are quite reasonable.
Internships Opportunities :
There are barely any internship opportunities available at this college. If you are just studying for the sake of a graduation degree, as it is indispensable for getting a job later, then this is your destination.
Placement Experience :
Placement is scanty here. There are hardly any placement opportunities. In my case, I was already working with an MNC while studying here. There are hardly any recruiters visiting and you will be totally on your own after completing the course.
Campus Life :
The 'party' spirit of the faculty is not very hyped. While I was studying here, there were hardly any programs or fests conducted. In your three-year course, you might hardly experience a fresher party, but with tough luck! If you are not a resident of Kolkata, then you will easily get PG's around the college. I had batchmates who used to reside at PG's. No extracurricular activities were held. They will take you for a tour if you have history or geography as your subject, as it is a part of the syllabus. There is a 'rotary club' group.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
