- The faculty is very good. They try new teaching methods and they derive complex equations from scratch. I remember my chemistry teacher deriving the Schrödinger's equation from scratch.
- There are more than 55 labs in our college.
- We have a wifi campus, and the wifi offers a decent speed.
- Our college has a huge playing ground. All sports lover can join the team.
Dislikes
- It's located in a remote area of Coochbehar - ghughumari, harinchawra
- The college doesn't provide hostel for first and second year.you have book pg in first and second year
- Most of the Students have to look for the placement for themselves.
Remarks :
You need a valid wbjee rank and need to participate in the e-counselling system in order to get admission in this college. Other than e-counselling you can also get admission through decentralised counselling for which you have to report physically on the day of the decentralised counselling, and you'll only get the seat if you are eligible for the available seat in seat matrix. Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college is affiliated to Makaut and held it's exam according to Makaut rules. There are four types of assessment CA1, CA2 ,CA3 & CA4 and two practicals PCA1 & PCA 2. Our first sem exam was held after 6 months but our second sem will be held in 4 months. Makaut did this to fill the academic gap for the previous semester.
Placement Experience :
Most students get placed in IT Companies like Accenture, Wipro, TCS, Deloitte etc. Students are expected to find an internship for themselves. About 90% of students are placed from CSE and ECE. The average package stood at 6 lpa from my branch.
Campus Life :
There are two types of fest- Tech fest and cultural fest. Our college will be hoisting fest called ESPERANZA in the next month. There are plenty of books in the library, but the books are a bit old ,but are in great condition. There are plenty of groups for your interest from gaming to poetry , you'll get every type of group of your choice. Cricket, football and badminton are played during the evening time. Cricket is played in a large scale than any other game. Hostel is only available for third and fourth year students.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
