- I like the college infrastructure. The infrastructure is clean and green with a healthy and outgoing nature.
- The campus life also superb. It's social nature allows you to meet new people along with diverse experiences to create lifelong memories.
Dislikes
- Sometimes the faculties can be a bit disturbing because of their unfriendly behaviour.
- Sometimes the campus life can be bit over friendly and therefore misleading.
Remarks :
The college is excellent in terms of science and arts. I chose this college due to its well reputed academic background. The college do not held any admission test. The admission is based on the board exam results. Students scoring 80% and more can easily get admission in this college. The entire admission process is carried out on online basis. The college administration updated us through mail and gave every details through it as well. For the payment, the college authority will give a link through mail which will be activated only for 2 hours. Candidates failed to pay the fees within the limited time frame will not get admission and the entire admission process will henceforth get cancelled. Although I didn't face any issues regarding admission. Some students face issues due to network and technical glitches. Otherwise the entire process is smooth and convenient.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because the college offers excellent learning facilities. The college has well equipped labs for this to explore new ways of learning. Almost all of the faculties here have a PhD degree so no doubt their teaching skills are great and easy to understand. Bsc microbiology Hons is 4 years graduation programme so it has 8 sem in total. 2 sem are there in each year and every year the term exams are held twice. Once in Feb and the next in sept-oct. The fee structure of this course is 3.5-4 lakhs in 4 years which is quite affordable.
Internships Opportunities :
Students can get internships available with the college and stipend ranging from 2.5k -3k. Companies named Wipro, creodays, encryption consultantation etc are there. Although students can start their internship journey through online sites naming LinkedIn and internshala to increase their working skills and job opportunities.
Placement Experience :
The overall placement cell in the college is good. The college offers packages ranging from 5 LPA-10 LPA and 3 LPA on an average. Almost 70-80% of the students get placed every year. Students scoring 7 cgpa and more are eligible to get placement. As I'm a fresher I do not have details regarding the visited recruiters and offers. After graduation I've plans to get involved in science and research.
Campus Life :
The campus life is outgoing and healthy. The infrastructure is one of the oldest and finest as it was established in 1830. The campus feels like a heritage building filled with nostalgia and diversities. The fest here named is ‘Caledonia’ which is one of the biggest in Kolkata held every year between dec to Jan. Library has a collection of science fiction, novels, story books and academic books as well. Sports day is held every year and the clubs of the college held extracurricular activities on the campus. The college has clubs such as drama club, debate club, philosophy club, photography club, cultural club and many more. The food quality in the canteen is outstanding. The college owns 5 hostels in total. I don't have an accurate information regarding the hostel registration process and food quality because I'm a day scholar. One can contact the college authority for the aforesaid purpose.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
