Likes
- Faculty is the pillar of our college. Teachers of all departments are equally good.
- If you can make friends easily, it will be easy for you to survive. There are a lot of good places around the college so you can go there.
Dislikes
- Being a government college, infrastructure is in bad condition, no decent place to sit and talk. The same plastered ceilings since I don't know how many years.
- Campus Life is boring, as there are not many interesting functions going on.
Remarks :
I had heard a lot of good reviews from my school teachers and other seniors. The college is situated in one of the busiest and most important parts of the city, Park Street. The area is quite safe and posh. Also, the faculty is very experienced.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I had always thought of pursuing journalism due to my interest in current affairs, news, and everything going on around me. I want to pursue Advertising and public relations in the future so this course was the aptest for me. The teachers of our department are understanding and friendly. In terms of exams, they are conducted as per University guidelines.
Internships Opportunities :
From the college, you'll not get any internship opportunities. But you can try it on your own outside the campus. There are very few campus drives almost none. Maybe you can try for some online internship while staying in the college.
Placement Experience :
This is a degree college so placements are not that available. You can look for internships outside the college or with the help of teachers or their contacts. Just being a graduate will not fetch a good job, so you have to get your hands on some skills too.
Campus Life :
Here comes the saddest part. We have no fests in college. Cultural programs organized by departments are always on the go. It is a government college so do not come here with Karan Johar's movies in your mind. It is a simple, very simple college. No adventurous campus. The college does not provide any hostel facility. We have some clubs like dance, nature, photography, cinema, debate.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
