Remarks :
The college has a good reputation throughout West Bengal. It is one of the best colleges in Kolkata. The physics faculty in this college is one of the best in the city. The alumni list is glorious. This college is very strict and disciplined unlike most another reputed colleges in Kolkata, so it provides a great atmosphere to study. The well-maintained laboratories are world-class. The professors are very student-friendly. The admission process is very simple. First, enroll for your admission form then the students are selected based on their class 12th result. The average cutoff for physics is 180 out of 200 which includes the marks of maths and physics only.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I have a great interest in physics. All the faculty members are qualified and hold PhD degrees. The professors are dedicated to teaching. They solve every problem of students in the classroom. The academic calendar is planned in a very efficient way. The exam levels are harder than the other colleges.
Internships Opportunities :
The physics department has many internship programs for all semesters. The teacher encourages the students to take part. The internship programs are unpaid but they are very useful for overall career growth.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell is mostly for students from BBA and B.Com but they also inform other departments as well. The dedicated career counseling cell is also helpful for the students. Overall the placement cell quality is above average.
Campus Life :
The college has two canteens, and one common room for games. The library is world-class in the college. There is also a section in the library reserved only for old and rare books. The hostel life is great there are 2 boys hostel and 1 girls hostel. The hostels are neat and clean. In the boy's hostel, every boarder gets his room. The toilets are cleaned every day. The seniors are very friendly. The hostel mess has a better menu than most other colleges in the city.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
