- Infrastructure is good (specially additional building for science students. )
- Library facility is quite good you can get what you actually need.
Dislikes
- I think we need more computers in practical room, also wifi facility should be provied.
- Curriculums should be digitalized inspite of following board and chalk method, I think in seminar we should have the option to present our topics digitally, it'll help us a lot in corporate sector.
Remarks :
Basically here under north bengal University Ananda chandra college is the best college in terms of Education standard, seriousness of teachers, student-teacher ratio, culture, library facility, better labs than any other colleges under North bengal University etc. To indicate bad aspect - Campus is too small, no wifi facility, fees discrimination for general and sc-st catagory students, exam fees and after exam scrutiny, review fees should be a little lower. If you want admission in this college you'll have to secure a good marks in H.S. In mathematics the cut-off marks is around 75% no entrance exam is taken for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In class 12 we uses various standard results to know the reasons behind these results I've choose the course. Here top faculties having Phd teaches us they uses marker and white board to teach. Here we have 6 semesters each of 6 months and before every semester exam class tests are taken to ensure that we have good preparation for finals. You have to follow multiple books and analyse previous years questions to score good in exam, difficulty is moderate. If any one missed to pay their fees they will have to pay a additional fine of 200 rs. avg semester fees is 2.5k although Swami vivekananda merit cum means scholarship is provided to students for their education.
Internships Opportunities :
I'm not doing any internship and I think a student having honors don't have enough time for this. But after graduation you can opt for internship programs conducted by state government of westbengal (it's your choice)
Placement Experience :
No placements are given from college for this course. After BSC you can prepare for government exams, and if you have intrest in this subject and wants to know more then prepare for JAM, CUET for MSC and if you do MSC from a good institute and perform well you'll surely get placements.
Campus Life :
Here in this college a social fest is conducted every year where various artists comes to entertain us. freshers parties also conducted to welcome new students and no fees are chargered at all. Almost most of the famous course related books are available in library. If anyone wants hostel facilities they will have to apply in first year, I don't know exact fees structure. There's a lot of PGs around college average fees structure with foods are 3k. Don't expect food quality just have it ????.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
