- I totally like the college infrastructure, faculty are good but strict, the overall campus life is nice.
- The faculty is strict to the first year students. Teachers are supportive and encouraging.
Dislikes
- There is no wifi access to students till now. It is declared that they will provide soon.
- Some of the faculty members and staffs are rude.
Remarks :
The college is located in Siliguri, West Bengal. As Siliguri is my hometown I decided to join a college near to my home and also as it is a Techno branch i found it good to join. I appeared for the WBJEE and JEE exams before entering college and joined through college counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course that I have opted for is AIML. Since AI is an emerging platform and essential for future tech developers, I decided to choose this course. Students can register for government-based scholarships and they are also accepted by the college.
Placement Experience :
Various companies come to our college for recruiting. Some of them are Microsoft, amazon, accentuate, and many others. The highest package that was offered in 2024 was 51 LPA from Microsoft. Students can appear to sit for the placement from 3rd year onwards.
Campus Life :
The college campus has a great eco-friendly environment and has an impressive infrastructure. The campus is neat and clean at any given time. There is good sanitation in all the washrooms. There are many facilities provided in the college such as a central library for all where you get books to study for the coming semester, 2-3 dedicated canteens, 1 Basketball ground, a volleyball ground, a common room for table tennis and carrom, a gym that is accessible from second year. The college is very strict about its anti-ragging rule. There are activities and events conducted throughout the year for students in technology(such as hackathons)as well as in sports(annual sports day conducted once a year and inter-college sports). There are hostels and P.Gs near the college where students can stay. There is a college website where they have listed various other details about the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
