Remarks :
it is the only well-established medical college that is nearer to my house with all kinds of health facilities for patients which means all kinds of patients will come here which leads to more practical learning. students have to take the NEET exam and may have to get a rank within 20k to be admitted to MBBS in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
To become a doctor, all the faculties here are well-qualified and skilled doctors. Although teaching methods vary from professor to professor so as the understanding capabilities of students. there are nine semesters four professional exams and various internal exam assessments that are being held across the period of four and half years. there is no fee hike in the last 5 years. There are several state and national-level scholarships for which students can apply. The college does not directly provide any scholarships.
Campus Life :
Well, the campus is not that good from the perspective of a student. majority of campuses include hospital buildings and other facilities for patients and public welfare. There is a small park in front of one of the hospitals but most of the time it remains vacant due to its odd location. the socializing place includes hostel areas and the college canteen. the college is present within the main city of Midnapore so socializing places are abundant in the vicinity of the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
