- I really dislike the placement of the college for branches other than textile.
- The culture of the college is all about music but jo serious talks about career.
Remarks :
The main fact that I chose this college was it was a government college and the fees for the degree were very low. For admission to this college one need to sit for the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination where he/she must secure a rank within 5000 then after counselling he can get a seat in this college. The good aspect is that the fees a low Professors are well-trained and knowledgeable. Bad aspects- Placement is not up to the mark for students except Textile Technology All the equipment in lab is not maintained and updated.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose the course of Computer Science and Engineering because nowadays we are surrounded by technology all around. So I thought to contribute to this field by learning about it by holding a degree. The faculties are P holders and some have masters in their respective fields. There are internal exams that are called CA which are taken every 1 month after starting of the semester and ends before 1 month of the Semester examination. For example, if a semester starts in January then the CA-1 will be on the first week of February and CA-2 on the first week of March and so on CA-4 will be on the first week of May. Semester exams are in June. There is a fixed rate for fees that is 6000 per semester for Computer Science students and Others 3000 per semester. All the scholarships that are given are by the state government or any other scholarship that someone opts for.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven’t opted for any inter. However, the textile branch gets internship offers from the college. All you have to opt for off campus internship which I did in an Edtech company Foxmula. Where I had a role different to my degree.
Placement Experience :
The placement is very good for the textile technology department. But for the other branches, the placement is the bare minimum. For instance, 5-6 students are placed out of 45 in my course that use CSE. The highest package placement offered is 30lpa by a Taiwanese company Young Optics. The average package is 4-5 lpa 30-40 per of students are getting placed.
Campus Life :
Each year fest is organised both technical and Cultural. Fest's name is Alfresco which lasts for almost 3 days and various cultural and different types of competitions are organised within it. The library is there in the college where books are available. Sports week is celebrated once a year and different equipment is there in common room of the college. The hostel is there for the college which is 5 km away from the college where the fees us nominal and the food is good. I rented a flat nearby which costs me 7k/month

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
