Remarks :
Admission takes place through wbjee exam, you need to have a decent rank and apply through centralized counseling and if your rank is inside the cut off you will get the college. There is no other exam needed. The college is very close to my home and has a good record in computer science placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is as per the MAKAUT syllabus, there are good teachers for each subject under different departments, and they will help you every time you ask for it. Government-aided scholarships are there. And total fees for 4 years is around 3.5lakh
Internships Opportunities :
No, I have not done any internships. Some companies offered internships for 1-3 months. The stipend was not so high but good for an intern. You can gain a very good experience from the projects and start learning new technologies.
Placement Experience :
From semester 7 th we can be eligible for campus placements. Many companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visited our campus. The highest package is near about more than 10 LPA and the average package is near about 3 LPA. Almost all students are getting jobs from this placement.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very intersecting and very much fun, with friends and facilities also. We have many activities in our college like technical and cultural events. Most of the required books are available in the college library, classrooms are very good and clean, light fan board AC everything is arranged. Sports day is organized every year, also there are many sports facilities like football basketball table tennis and carrom board. There are multiple clubs present.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects.
