The most important factor for choosing this university is that our university is an accredited university. Only a few private universities are accredited with the same. The admission process is very simple. Visit the admission cell of the university and get enrolled. No written test or interview or any other thing.
The course curriculum is very good. It deals with all the allied sciences related to agriculture like agronomy, entomology, soil science, plant pathology etc. The total fee for the course is 6 lakh. I choose this course due to the diversity of jobs and business. Most of the staff is not qualified at the doctoral level. Their teaching is below average. We have to study our own. Exams are conducted twice a semester. Difficulty level is average. We can easily pass the exams. Once get admitted in a batch, there is no fee hike in semester fee but in exam fees, there may be. Scholarship only to SC and ST students.
I opted for internship outside my college. I got an internship through my friend's reference. It was not related to agriculture but the internship is quite good for the beginner. I was promoted to team leader within a month. The company was Younity. I was given 7.5% of the total sales done by me or my interns.
Placements rarely occur in our course. Most of the students choose to go for higher studies so that they can grab a bigger package. Eligibility criteria vary according to companies. Some companies want higher CGPA. The highest package given was 6 lakh per Annum. And the lowest was 2.6 lakh per annum. Only 2-5% of students get placed. My plan is to for a master's and P.hd after my graduation.
Life at the campus is friendly, charming and enthusiastic. There are no clubs and societies. Th is very good. Fest occurs mainly in December month of every year. There is a huge central library and there are thousands of books. Sports activities are actively held in our university. Our university ranks 5th in the khelo india programme in 2023. Regular marathons and other sports activities are held.
Hostel food is very bad. No hygiene. The girls' hostel is not even equipped with an attached bathroom. Students other than Punjab and Haryana state are forced to take the hostel services. There is no other option for them. The PG facility is very good at 5KM Distance.

Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.
Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc
College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys, tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year
Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.
The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement. There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
