- Infrastructure is good, there is a big groud for playing. I like badminton and there are 2 courts for it, gym for students , mountains to go during summers and all the hill Stations .I am satisfied.
- The teachers are very friendly and good and are very experienced. So i am having no problem in studies and all. Altogether everything is good here
Dislikes
- In 1st. Year year there will be a teacher to shout too much. Its funny all the teachers also say the same. That she shouts and over reacts too much .
Remarks :
I took the WBJEE examination. I live in Siliguri. My friends also go to this college. From them I heard, that the teachers are very friendly and good. And the environment here is also good. And there is no ragging here. Everything is good. There are mountains near the college. If you feel like chilling, you can go there, it's hardly 20-30 mins from college. There are many pg, flats and hotels. Altogether everything there is good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Well, the course curriculum is based on the syllabus of MAKAUT Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, Kolkata. Faculties are extremely good and very friendly and will always stand in your problems. You have to come to college and maintain 70% attendance. There is a scholarship named SVMCM Swami Vivekananda Scholarship. You will get 60000 per year through it. The only requirement is that you shouldn't have any back paper in the semester examination. Total fees are about 649000. During admission, you have to give 113000. This includes 1st-semester fees and all the other necessities. 2nd-semester fee is ?81500. From the 3rd semester fees is ? 71500. And it goes like this. There is also a slight change in 7th and 8th semester.
Internships Opportunities :
No till now I haven't applied for any internship yet. But there is a training that will be provided by the college in August for a week. In which you will be given various knowledge about the companies. Paid internships are very less. Mostly unpaid. And it depends on how good are you in your academics and interviews.
Placement Experience :
You have to maintain a 7 + CGPA to get maximum chances in the Placement hall. And your aptitude should be very good. As there is always an aptitude test round. In which many students fail to qualify. The other requirements will be guided by the placement teachers themselves and prepare you to give your best you just have to focus on students maintain a CGPA and learn skills. The teachers are very good and will always be there whenever you need them. The highest package is 51 lakh. I plan to take various competitive examinations and many others.
Campus Life :
There is a cultural fest for 2 days in April and a big fest ZYGON in which singers come from outside college. The function itself is held in a 4-star hotel/restaurant in Siliguri. And there will also be sports competitions in between these fests. Books are all given from the library. And you have to give it back after the semester, so there is no problem with books. You can also issue extra books for 1 month but you have to reissue them after the time ends. There are many clubs -robotics club, web development club, photography club, and many more. All these are run by students. Teachers just help when asked. There are also various seminars and yoga sessions.
Hostel Facilities :
Well Hostel is not there for B. tech. But there are plenty of pgs and flat available. I mean plenty of it. And there are always resturants and hotels opening here and there. And the food here is very good. Momos and everything. In pgs per person is 2000 only. With a room sharing of 2 people. Total 4000 , per person is 2000 rupees. And eating costs about ?3000-?3500. A bit costly but its ok. You can always go to College canteen if you want cheap and good food. You can also take food packed for eating at night there is no problem. Altogether everything the college is good. I think you should come.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
