This is very good college under CU. You'll not regret later
Remarks :
This college is under Calcutta University which is a very renowned university of India. And it is NAAC-graded with an A+. There is a large campus with all the streams available arts science and commerce. And there is an option for students of morning, day and evening shifts in this college which is very helpful for them. They can choose any of the shifts whatever is suitable for them. And for admission to this college, you don't have to take any admission test or interview. You can get into it easily by your 12th board percentage.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I'm a science background student and I have more interest in biology so I get admitted to this course. The professors of our department are also very helpful and caring. They are also very well-qualified Here you will have to take a semester exam twice a year. In this college, there are all types of scholarships available which are initiated by govt of West Bengal like Svmcm and Oasis scholarship. The fee structure is also very decent you have to pay fees once a semester after your exam.
Campus Life :
There is a very healthy campus in the college. After your admission, you will be welcomed by a freshers party by the seniors and college union which is a great memory for everyone. There is also an annual cultural fest conducted in the month of July-August. There is also an annual sports meet, seminars and other social awareness programmes. Inside the campus, there is a large library room with a huge collection of books. There is a canteen for students and staff where you can get tasty food at an affordable price. There is also a separate boys and girls common room where you can play indoor games like carrom, table tennis etc in your leisure time. And last but not least there is a students union group where you can get every solution related to college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
