- Faculties - They're highly qualified and caring.
- Laboratories - Well equipped labs along with highly qualified lab assistants.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure - College is confined in a 4 story building.
- Canteen - Canteen was very small. However, later it was expanded.
Remarks :
I considered College Ranking, Good Laboratories, and Affordable fee structure. Convenient location and transportation were other aspects that I considered while taking admission. No interview was done. I got admitted through WBJEE.
Course Curriculum Overview :
All are good. I went for Electrical Engineering as I was interested in Electrical equipments. I have highly qualified faculties. Teaching is done in hybrid mode(digital classes included). The semester exam is scheduled by the university (MAKAUT). I took a loan for fee purposes.
Placement Experience :
I was placed in 2 companies namely Cognizant Technology Solutions and Infosys Limited. Our batch had around 70% placement. The rest of them opted for higher education/waited a while for the job. All major IT companies conducted a drive at our college.
Campus Life :
Campus life is enjoyable. Throughout the year, multiple fests(tech and cultural) are organized. The library has 15k+ books at all times including the latest journals. The classrooms are well equipped. Basketball, football, and cricket grounds are there. Multiple cultural clubs are run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
I rented a 2 BHK flat with 3 of my classmates in Jatragachhi. It's around 500 meters from the college. Rents are affordable compared to nearby localities. We used to prepare our food in the room. I didn't opt for hostel facilities.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
