- Canteen is not as expected, though recently food trucks has been arranged.
- The lift is not working for some days. Library is good but subject books are not of recent publications.
Remarks :
Yes, nowadays this college is making growth. It's located in New Town from where companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Wipro are a 5-10 min distance by bus. In the industrial area, a college always gives fruitful results in placements. I came to know about this college from some seniors and YouTube also. For the cut-off you don't need to worry about it, you can get Chance in low rank also, though I was ranked 8327 in Wbjee.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Nowadays IT sectors are growing vastly. AI has entered the field. So this is very important to connect with computers and for that CSE is the best stream nowadays. You'll get well-educated and experienced faculty members. They provide a friendly environment for learning. Term exams are every 5-6 months, that is semester. Class assessment tests(CA) occur every month. You'll not find it difficult if you study daily.
Placement Experience :
Companies like TCS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, and IBM visit college. The highest package is 35 lakh in Google off-campus. Avg package is 6-7 lakh and the highest package has gone 18 lakh this year. It's on your skills, if you develop skills, no one can stop you from being hired with a good package. I plan to pursue MTech after this.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
This year's fees have been increased. But you can get a 240000 scholarship in the entire 4 years (60000/year) if resident of West Bengal. If you qualify in Wbjee with TFW, entire 4-year fee will be 70000. I fall in this category.
Campus Life :
First of all, we participate in Hackathons. There are so many clubs in college, cultural clubs, coding clubs, e-gaming, literature, photography etc, etc. The library is enriched with recent journals and with awesome study room. Sports events and cultural events are common.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, there's hostel in college. But it's located around 1-2.5km away from college. I'll suggest pg near colleges. There are so many rooms or flats also in nearby areas you can rent. Currently, I stay in one bhk room but yes, hostel life is always better. Food and other necessities are provided.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
