No admission test is taken. Admission is based on WBJEE/JEE rank. Any student with any rank can take admission. There is no cut-off scene in this college. It is a tier 2 college and all they care about is money.
Python teacher does not know python. Teachers baho teach theory have good knowledge of the subject. Maths, Physics, ECE, Chemistry and Biology department is very good. Very qualified teachers. CSE department, the HOD has good knowledge and teaches very well. College focuses a lot on attendance but going to class is not worth it. Nobody here will teach you real topics. Everything that you will be taught in class will never come in exam (except for 1st year curriculum and maths curriculum till 2nd year). You will ultimately have to study from Gate Smashers. After each semester you pass you will realize that it's actually no use to go to class but HOD will force you to come to class. You see the HOD, you will realize the weight of the word attendance. He will always complain about it. The course we are being taught would have helped you get a job in 2004. In the present scenario, it's as good as a drop of water in the ocean you take off it.
College gives internship opportunities with companies like Globsyn, Ardent, AICT, etc. Doing these internships will help you. Certificates are provided. I have interned with quite a few companies under cyber security domain. These internships usually don't go in hand with other people's interests.
Placement cell is good. Keep an eye on what is going on, the mails you are receiving. It will actually help you get a job. If you have problems, go and sort it out with our TPO. Very chill man, good mentor, gives great explanations and good at heart. Very friendly and helpful. The best part of the college. Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Unschool, DeltaX, Publicis Sapients, CGI, Byjus, KPMG, and many other companies visit. Highest package goes upto 13 LPA. After the degree, I'll look for off campus jobs, as there are hardly companies that take cyber security students as freshers. Eligibility criteria is set by each company on their own.
?43000 is semester fee (due date is before start of semester), hostel fee is ?30000 (old) , ?36000 (new). All in double accommodation for boys. ?100 fine for each day that you pay the fees late. For girl's hostel, single rooms are available (more fees). Food is very bad in boys hostel. Girls hostel food is good. For SC/ST/OBC, fees goes down to 2500 per semester to 10000 per semester. Depends on the certificate.
In the name of class, you will experience school, nostalgia will hit hard. Not one book in the library is published after 2006. Half of the books that the college gives do not contain topics that are in the Univ syllabus. Mathematics book is apt. Fest is like shadi at home, you will always have complaining set of people, the sequence of performances are done is not maintained. Nothing is done in place. There are 5 clubs in the college. Code Vision is a club that helps you in development (web and software) - some people are good, others I hope you understand. Cybercell - It was opened to be a club that will promote cyber security and everything related to internet security, it is now a club like Code Vision, in short, it does not do the work it was supposed to do. Robonixx is doing it's work. EDC - sometimes may be good, sometimes may be shit. NSS - you know it, here you will get an experience you will never want again. There are literally no co-curricular activities in the college.
Hostel room is good to suffocate 2 people. Summer season, temperature is max. You will boil on the top floor. Food will feel like you will die and vomit, if you do not have stomach of steel, do not come here. Hostel has 0 activities too. All you will be asked at any point of time is to give your intro to seniors as and when they ask you. Sometimes we're good, sometimes we'll act smart bcz we WANT YOUR GOOD AND WE HAD SENIORS WHO WERE WORSE. Which is not actually the case. Saraswati puja will feel like heaven, hostel farewell is also good. Rest of the year it's as good as dead. Every week you'll complain about food at least 10 times.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
