Remarks :
The main source of admission is through the NEET-UG Entrance exam. Ours is a completely apolitical college which is one of the main advantages over other medical colleges. It has a huge campus and is situated in the heart of the city. Sealdah station is just 5 minutes away from the college making transportation highly comfortable. Since it is situated in Sealdah it has bus and tram routes from all over the city. Teachers are also highly educated and student-friendly The college has a well-organised ground which allows students to actively participate in college circular activities other than studies.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty are very good and student-friendly. I chose this course because I dream of becoming a doctor and serving mankind. The college provides ample opportunities for my dreams. Regular interactive quizzes are being held where students from all other medical colleges participate. Semester exams are held at an interval of 4 to 5 months. And a compulsory proof exam is held yearly for promotion to the next academic year
Internships Opportunities :
No, there is a compulsory internship for all MBBS graduates of one year with a monthly stipend of ?30k. You cannot apply for any other internship as such. And in that one year of internship the sole responsibility is to treat patients accordingly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
6k per semester with 9 semesters Admission fees 5k Electricity bill 8rs monthly There are no biased fees according to categories it is the same for all. SVMCM is a scholarship given only to eligible students.
Campus Life :
Our main fest is Ecstasy which conducts the biggest flashmob in Eastern India. It is mainly conducted in September The library is an ocean where you can get any book from Indian authors to Foreign authors on the subjects of MBBS. There are quiz groups football group cricket groups table tennis group badminton groups
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel Life is pretty good with helpful seniors. Three canteens are present within the hostel itself and some canteens are present within the campus also. So it provides many options where one can find comfort with the food. Food quality is good in all the canteens. For applying to hostel rooms a form is given on the day of admission and the hostel is given based on distance of the house from the college.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
