DIT University Dehradun Courses and Fees

DIT University offers 70+ programmes in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, management, health sciences, design, science, and liberal arts. The fee changes by course and specialisation. The table below lists the main programmes and their total fees.

DIT University Dehradun Admission Process

DIT University admits students through entrance scores, board performance, counselling, and direct admission routes where applicable. The accepted test depends on the course family.

1. Fill the online application form for the selected course.
2. Submit the required entrance score, board marks, or both, based on the programme.
3. Attend counselling or selection rounds as required by the university.
4. Complete document verification after allotment.
5. Pay the fee to confirm the allotted seat.

B.Tech Admission

For B.Tech, DIT University shortlists students through JEE Main, CUET-UG, UKSEE for Uttarakhand residents, or the DIT Entrance Test. Students with high Class 12 marks may also be considered under direct merit admission.

• Eligibility: 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with at least 50-60% aggregate
• Entrance: JEE Main score, CUET-UG score, or UKSEE rank is preferred. Direct applicants can use the DIT Entrance Test.
• Selection stages: Online application, entrance score submission, counselling, document check, fee payment, and seat confirmation

For most B.Tech branches, the JEE Main percentile usually stays between the 40 and 70 percentile range. CSE and Data Sciences generally need higher percentiles than core engineering branches.

B.Arch and B.Des Admission

B.Arch applicants must have Mathematics in 10+2 with at least 50% marks and a valid NATA score or JEE Main Paper 2 score. B.Des selection is based on a portfolio review or the university aptitude test, depending on the specialisation.

B.Pharm and BSc Nursing Admission

B.Pharm admission is based on NEET UG or CUET-UG scores, along with 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics. For BSc Nursing, students need NEET UG and 10+2 with PCB with at least 45% aggregate.

MBA, M.Tech, and Other PG Programmes

MBA applicants need graduation with at least 50% marks and a valid CAT, MAT, XAT, or CUET-PG score. For M.Tech, GATE score holders are given preference, but direct applications are also accepted. MSc and MA admissions are based on CUET-PG or the university test.

DIT University Dehradun Placements

The Career Services Cell at DIT University manages campus placements for all schools. In the 2024 placement season, the top offer was INR 44 LPA, made by Harness to a B.Tech CSE student. The overall mean package was INR 5.76 LPA. More than 400 companies hired from the university and made 1,500+ offers. Among eligible students, the placement rate was 69.28%, with 442 of 592 students placed.

Mean salary figures also differed by school. The School of Computing recorded the highest mean package at INR 6.26 LPA. The School of Management reported INR 4.50 LPA, the School of Engineering and Technology reported INR 4.20 LPA, and the School of Pharmacy reported INR 3.20 LPA.

Students receive a dedicated soft skills training module of 40 hours and a one-year campus-to-corporate readiness programme. Offers between INR 20 LPA and INR 44 LPA were mainly seen in cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and advanced software roles for B.Tech CSE students.

DIT University Dehradun Scholarships

DIT University gives admission-time merit scholarships to students with strong entrance exam scores or board results. Eligible students can also apply for state and central government scholarship schemes.

DIT University Dehradun Campus and Infrastructure

DIT University has a 25-acre campus in Dehradun, close to the Mussoorie foothills. Its main academic blocks, Vedanta, Chanakya, and Civil, have ICT-enabled classrooms with projectors and digital teaching tools.

The campus has laboratories for engineering and science subjects, a central computing facility, a pharmacy research lab, and architecture design studios. The library provides print and digital resources across disciplines, along with e-journal access for research. Separate hostels are available for male and female students. Boys hostel fees go up to INR 1,64,000 per year.
