Course Description

IIT Guwahati offers the 2-year ‘Master of Science’ (M.Sc) in 4 major streams including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics & Computing and Mathematics. For MSc admissions, one needs to qualify for the IIT JAM which is a computer-based MCQ test. There are separate papers for each course, one can sit for one or two papers at a time. IIT Guwahati is offering MSc admission on a total of 180 seats. The total 1st-semester cost (including the tuition and other) for the MSc course is INR 55,000.

IIT Guwahati MSc admissions are offered to those who have completed their UG degree in a science stream with a minimum of 55% marks.
Those who have completed their final examinations can also apply for the MSc admissions.
