Life at IIT is just amazing we get to explore many things and clubs here are very updated. Our college has Alcheringa as it's annual cultural fest conducted in January ending which is considered to be the largest fest in the North eastern India.

Other than academics there's a lot to explore in this campus like there are many active cultural clubs and social clubs where you find a lot to learn and enjoy There are mainly three fests are conducted Techniche-september, Udgam-Feb, Alcheringa-January (Annual fest) There are almost every active sport you can find with a well skilled coach in every sports who helps you to train for tournaments

This college have various types of fest Alcheringa-cultural fest- January every year Techniche- techno- management fest-September every year Spirit - sports fest-October every year Prayatna - welfare fest -November every year Virasat - classic arts fest- Feburary every year All the fest are organized by students of this college Institute have three type of extra curricular activities clubs 1) Tech clubs (eg. Robotics, Aero modelling, racing etc.) 2) culture clubs ( eg. Dramatics, Singing and music, Dance) 3) sports club ( badminton, cricket and various sports) College has grounds and amenities for different sports for students of this college. Library is the heaven for who one loves reading and learning. It contains thousands of the book and generals in every subject.

Alcheringa is the cultural fest of IIT Guwahati. It is the biggest fest in North East India. Many people from all over country visit our campus and enjoy 3-4 days fest. Library of our institute a heaven on earth. We have many clubs for different activities.

The tech fest, Techniche, is generally in August. The sports fest, Spirit is in October. The cultural fest, Alcheringa, is in February and is considered one of the best college fests in India. The library is humongous, with a large diversity of books covering each field of study and entertainment. There are also small libraries in all the hostels. The classrooms are AC-cooled with huge projector screens, big blackboards, and lectures in PPT form, which are later provided to students. There are full-sized grounds for all sports, including lesser-known sports like squash. All 13 hostels have excellent gyms, and also have small fields for sports and other activities. There are around 10 tech clubs, 14 cultural clubs, and 18 sports clubs, with secretaries and core teams comprised of students for each club. The hostels are double occupancy for freshers and single for above. The food is generally good in taste. There is no day scholar and only residential.

Campus life is fun. Thought connectivity is some issue as the college location is far from the city and you reach city by bus or ferry. It takes 1 hr by bus. In campus you are provided with a lot of facilities for sports and all

The social life of the campus is very good and happening. Almost every time some event keeps going on in the campus. It has two major fest one is Alcheringa north east biggest cultural fest in March-April and another is techniche the technical fest. The sports facilities are too good you will find almost each sports facilities and also Central gym facility plus gyms in almost every hostel. The hostel is very good it has all facilities like Study rooms, T.V. rooms, sports room, GYM , canteen, fruits and juice centre , Music room , pantry etc. The quality and taste of food in a hostel is good. Also, there are many interesting hostel events called general championship (GC) between all hostels consists of sports technical and cultural events. Apart from this college has a lots of clubs like an astronomy club,dance club, music club, literary club and a lot more.

Campus life is so much enjoyable. This iit is the most beautiful iit among all iits in india. In our college our main annual fest named alcgeringa is conducted in month of march every year and our tech fest named techniche is held in the month of august every year.

the two main fests here are Techniche (the annual technical fest), which happens usually in august or september and Alcheringa (the annual cultural fest) , which happens usually in feb . All the books and resources you will require for your course will be available in huge number of copies at library. there are around 18clubs both technical and cultural included . your interest towards any club will always be encouraged
