Tezpur University, The University you might wanna join!

What I Liked

Infrastructure is very good with lifts and washrooms for the physically disabled students
Campus is pretty big and full of greeneries around, and no vehicles allowed which is a plus point.

What I didn’t like

Not dislike, but I'd like the cafes here to be opened late night.
It's hectic for a new comer here, but one must start liking it as semester gets further

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is offered, and it depends on the course you are enrolled in, somewhat around 4-5 lpa, one can expect as of a fresher and highest around 12-15 lpa. I'm planning for pursuing higher studies after the completion of my degree

Internships Opportunities:

No, I didn't opt for any scholarship, but one can sure reasearch and opt for it. There are teachers who might be a help for the students and there is the official University site, one can look up for scholarship programs there.

Uni Life and more

What I Liked

I love the campus. It is very pretty and the facilities are quite.
I love the fact that the campus has a gymnasium and all sorts of facilities to and keep ourselves fit. There is also a yoga centre and these are quite active.

What I didn’t like

I do like the hectic schedule of the classes and the exams as well. It becomes quite stressful during the exams.
I do not like the fact that we cannot choose the non major courses on our own; the university makes it compulsory to study then all

Placement Experience:

I have no idea as such since we, the students of sciences, do not usually opt for jobs right after our masters. We usually do our PhDs and it has its criteria and entrances. But as per my knowledge, the placement opportunities are not bad.

Internships Opportunities:

I haven't opted for any internships so I do not have much idea about it. But we do have mini projects and stuff as a part of our course plan. The students do come to our university for internships and are quite satisfied with what they learn.

Dream Campus, Not-So-Dream Jobs

What I Liked

Campus life is overall vibrant. There are active clubs where u can visit on weekend for their weekends sessions .

What I didn’t like

Lack of big events and lack of college administration interest and efforts for it
Placement In some hostels, there are senior that are bit stricts and authoritative. Kept these short since talked about these in details above.

Placement Experience:

There are teachers under which u can work and later they can surely help u land a intership, happened with one of my friend. But as of now department dont directly provide u internship. I dont wanna say vague or old numbers about average or highest placement data, so wont comment on it but overall its not that great but there are exceptions, like there are some brilliant minds who lands an enormous off campus placement.(My 2 seniors who r out of india right now) Last year Bharat electronics BHEL came and took 8 seniors for 13lpa package, some banking companies and TCs comes too. My plans after my degree is to get a job in electronic domain while also focusing on my photography and editing Passion Check my work on insta sodaa.edits

Internships Opportunities:

No. No direct internship in case of bachelors degree. U can apply to internship to different colleges on their portal but college dont help u with anything. But yeah u can work under teacher, do his assigned work. If ur persistent then he will surely refer u to his colleagues in other iits and nits

What I Liked

1. Good quality education 2. Inclusive campus environment 3. 24*7 library facility
4. Green environment 5. Hostel food very good

What I didn’t like

1. Excessive academic pressure in all courses
2. No study gaps between exams. Exams are conducted continuously

Placement Experience:

Different companies comes to the campus for placement. And students get placements. In BEd vivekananda KV school, Ajmal foundation super 40 , teach India foundation etc comes for campus requirement and provides jobs to fresh candidates.

Internships Opportunities:

In our course we have a compulsory school internship in 3rd semester. Which is the most hectic and best part of the course. The students works as intern teachers in nearby schools. The Schools are being allotted by the course instructor itself.

What I Liked

In Tezpur university environment is good .
In tezpur university infrastructure are best full of greenery and gives best campus life.

What I didn’t like

Tezpur university is too far away from the town.
Due to village area out of the campus environment is not good.

Placement Experience:

In b. Tech placement eligibility you must have 7.5 cgpa, and we must listet in top 20 . In mechanical placement are not too good only 10% student able to get placement. Compared to other departments.

Review Of Tezpur University

What I Liked

I really like the college Environment, One of the best Campus life I have experienced.
The Infrastructure is Quite good, you will get Shops, Parks, Vegetables within the campus.

What I didn’t like

I don't like about the price of the Individual Shops.
The place where it is located. it is located far from the Town.

Placement Experience:

Palcements are come frequently but, only a few students are get placed . you also need to apply in off campus. in on campus comapanies like- infosys,TCS,TATA,OIL,IOCL,Cognigent etc are offers palcements. highest packages are upto 25LPA , lowest is 3 LPA, Average is 4-5 LPA. in Each department 10-20% are placed in On-campus, 20-30% are placed in Off-campus, 10-20% are pursue higher studies.

Internships Opportunities:

For the Internship , you can ask your faculty members or from University Trainig and placement cell. Often when new internships arrives training and placement cell will send email to everyone. you can apply from there Or you can manualy look for internships online.

Academic curriculum is very hectic here

Placement Experience:

Placement here us average .Most students opt for off campus placement . Almost 70% students here opt for higher studies than placement.However there are students who have grabbed psu offers off campus.

Internships Opportunities:

No i have not opted for any internship . The university provides many internship opportunities both paid and free. Students here have a final year project which they have to present at the end of their engineering course

University's Life

What I Liked

Campus life is very good and environment is also eco-friendly.
Friends and brothers sisters are very helpful.

What I didn’t like

Teacher are some time show there ego and insult us
Infrastructure are not upto the mark, repair is needed.

Placement Experience:

After completing of degree, generally university didn't provide any placement government as well as private sector. We habe to qualify gor different exam and post that are available free . After completing degree we also continue study and take master degree.
