IIM Raipur Admissions

The admission is based on the CAT 2020 score with a weightage of 35%. The other criteria constitute previous academic performance and the Personal Interview round.

Candidates who have valid CAT, GATE or GRE scores and have secured more than 80% are considered for admission to the PhD program.

How to Apply?

  • For the candidates who appeared in CAT, while filling the registration form, they get to choose their preferred IIMs.
  • Once the exam is held and the results are out, the process of shortlisting the candidates begins for the Personal Appearance process. The shortlisting is done based on CAT cut-off scores.
  • Once the candidates are shortlisted, they are called for a PI round (online mode in 2021)
  • After completion of the interview round, a final scorecard is prepared based on the CAT score, PA process, previous academic performance, and work experience.
  • Finally, the selected candidate receives an admission offer from the institute. The candidate must accept the offer within a given time and is required to send an offer acceptance amount of INR 75,000.

IIM Raipur Scholarships

The Institute provides their full-time Ph.D. students financial assistance to all academic and other expenses such as waiving off their tuition, library, computer, and hostel fee.

  • The first and second-year students are provided a scholarship of INR 30000 per month.
  • The third and fourth-year students are provided with a scholarship of INR 35000 per month.
  • Additionally, a contingency grant of INR 40000 per year and a one-time grant for purchasing laptops up to INR 50000 is provided to the Ph.D. students.
  • They are also offered up to INR 150000 for attending national and international conferences.

IIM Raipur Facilities

  • Hostel: The institute provides an individual room with an attached bathroom with separate areas of residence for males and females. There are five new and well-furnished hostels which have been recently constructed. The hostels are WiFi-enabled, have a 24×7 hot water and laundry facility. They also have banking facilities. Apart from that, a cooling system has been installed for all hostel blocks.
  • Sports and Gym Facilities: The Institute has a huge ground for Football and Cricket. Apart from that, there are badminton courts, table for table tennis. The Institute also has Indoor games provisions like Carom and Chess and there is also a world-class gym with all modern equipment.
  • Library: The library has a vast collection of around 2.6 lakhs of books, most of them also available in electronic form and 8300 of them in print format.
