IIM Raipur Admission Dates 2027

PGPM admission for the 2027-29 batch is linked to CAT 2026. IIM Raipur uses the Joint Admission Process, called JAP, with IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli. Through one JAP application, students can apply to all four institutes together.

The EPGP 2027-28 application window is expected in October to November 2026. EPGP applicants apply directly to IIM Raipur, not through JAP. They must use CAT or GMAT scores and need at least 3 years of full-time work experience.

IIM Raipur Courses and Fees

IIM Raipur offers PGPM, EPGP, EPGP in HRM, Ph.D., and short MDP or certificate programmes. The fee range starts at INR 15,000 for certificate programmes and goes up to INR 23,75,000 for EPGP NRI students.

For PGPM, Year 1 costs INR 11,18,860. This includes tuition of INR 9,41,000 and other charges of INR 1,77,860. Year 2 costs INR 10,21,860. Hostel and mess charges are separate from the academic fee, and students should check current rates at iimraipur.ac.in.

IIM Raipur Admission Process

IIM Raipur selects PGPM students only on merit through CAT. There is no management quota or NRI quota. The final selection is based on a 150-point composite score that includes CAT score, academics, work experience, personal interview, and profile-based points.

PGPM Admission Process

Applicants need a bachelor’s degree in any field. The minimum aggregate is 60% for General, EWS, and NC-OBC candidates, 50% for SC candidates, and 45% for ST and PwD candidates. A valid CAT score is required. Final-year students can also apply on a provisional basis.

• CAT cutoff context: For General category students, IIM Raipur’s official minimum CAT cutoff is 94 percentile overall and 73 percentile in each section, covering VARC, DILR, and QA. Recent shortlists usually move above 96 percentile because of competition.
• Composite score (150 marks): The score includes CAT Index (50), Personal Interview (40), Class X marks (15), Class XII marks (15), Work Experience (15), Gender Diversity (8), Profile Score (5), and Academic Diversity (2).
• Gender diversity: Female and transgender applicants get 8 extra marks. Students from non-engineering backgrounds may get 2 marks for academic diversity.
• Work experience: The highest work experience score is 15 marks, given for 36 to 42 months of experience. More than 48 months gives only 5 marks. Freshers get 0 marks in this part.
• JAP process: After CAT results, one JAP application covers IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli at the same time.

EPGP Admission

EPGP is a 1-year full-time residential programme for professionals. Applicants must have at least 3 years of post-graduation work experience. IIM Raipur accepts a valid CAT score, with no published minimum percentile, or a GMAT score of 650 or above. Students apply directly on the IIM Raipur website instead of JAP. Selection includes application screening and a personal interview at IIM Raipur.

Ph.D. Admission

The Ph.D. programme is open to candidates with a post-graduate degree or equivalent qualification in management, economics, or a related subject. Accepted scores include CAT, UGC/CSIR NET (JRF), and GATE. Applications are submitted at iimraipur.ac.in. The process includes a research aptitude test and an interview.

IIM Raipur Placements

For the PGPM Class of 2025, IIM Raipur recorded an average package of INR 18.8 LPA. The median package was INR 18.4 LPA, and the highest package was INR 34.3 LPA. The placement drive included 166 companies from sectors such as BFSI, consulting, IT, FMCG, and general management.

The institute’s placement record shows its position among second-generation IIMs and its industry links in Central India. Recruiters usually come from banking and financial services, strategy consulting, IT services, and manufacturing. The shared JAP network with IIM Kashipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Tiruchirappalli also gives IIM Raipur access to a common recruiter pool.

IIM Raipur Campus and Infrastructure

PGPM students stay on campus in single-occupancy hostel rooms with attached washrooms, radiant cooling, and wi-fi. Male and female students have separate hostel wings. The mess menu is managed with inputs from a student Mess Committee, and a 24-hour canteen is available for late-night needs. Sports facilities include floodlit cricket and football grounds, badminton courts, and a gym. A bank branch and ATM are also available on campus. IIM Raipur vs IIM Ranchi vs IIM Kashipur

IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, and IIM Kashipur are close choices for many MBA applicants because all three are second-generation IIMs founded near 2010 and follow the JAP route for admission.

IIM Ranchi is ahead in NIRF Management 2025 with Rank 13, while IIM Raipur holds Rank 15. It is often preferred by students looking at the eastern India market. IIM Raipur has a larger 203-acre campus in the planned city of Naya Raipur. IIM Kashipur has entrepreneurship and sustainability as key focus areas. Since JAP is common, applicants can apply to all three through one process and make a final choice based on merit list position and personal preference.
