I appear ICAR as an back up for a NEET, and my rank was 4102. I selected IGKV as it was closest to odisha. That time I didn't know they distribute sub campus on basis of rank and like that I got into SGCARS JAGDALPUR.

To get admission in IGKV, you have to give a test, its name is PAT (pre agriculture test), if you are qualified in this test then you are given a college according to your rank and then after getting the documents verified from the university, you can join the college.

You will have to give a test conducted by CG vyapam to get enrolled in the agriculture University, you have to clear that and the top 2500 students get admission in the colleges which comes under IGKV university in state of Chhattisgarh

There was a very good image of this college and indeed it fulfills it in major portions. Like practical knowledge and also in sport category every thing is sufficient for a students need of studying.

The good this about this college is that agriculture is a growing field and in the prospect the need for food and vegetables will never gonna end and the need for agriculture jobs will increase. The bad aspect is that branch of the Kanker college the education is very poor here, professors are not well educated, and they only complete courses and do not focus on knowledge.

Labs are efficient and new. And upgraded. The teachers are very experienced and all are PhD. Holder scientist. Classes are regular. Monthly seminars also take place. Various guest from the best universities and institutions come and share their experience. They don't have campus placement. The administrative staff is not that supportive. Few of them are very arrogant. The canteen is expensive not student pocket friendly. Classrooms don't have air conditioning in the summer it's very difficult to study there. They don't have educational trips for post graduate students.

IGKV is one of the top 15 agricultural universities ranked by ICAR. The admission process was not too complicated. Candidates can take admission through the ICAR exam or state-domicile candidates can apply through the PAT exam. The fee structure is comparatively lower than other agricultural universities. The Jagdalpur campus is not very developed. It is a decent college. The faculty is experienced in their respective field.
