NIT Jamshedpur Scholarships\r\n\r\n

NIT Jamshedpur offers several different types of scholarships to students that are pursuing degrees at the institute. NIT Jamshedpur Scholarships are offered to financially disadvantaged minority students have the opportunity to access scholarships and financial assistance provided they meet the minimum eligibility criteria. NIT Jamshedpur offers a range of scholarships that are categorized as follows:\r\n\r\n

Scholarship & Financial Aid at NIT Jamshedpur:\r\n\r\n

1. Scholarship & Financial Aid by Welfare Department, Govt. of Jharkhand:\r\n\t
   \r\n\t\t
   • Offered to students from SC\/ST\/OBC categories in Jharkhand state.\r\n\t\t
   • Annual family income should not exceed INR 2,00,000 for SC\/ST students and INR 1,00,000 for OBC students.\r\n\t\t
   • Covers tuition fees and maintenance charges.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\t
   • Foundation for Academic Excellence and Access (FAEA):\r\n\t
     \r\n\t\t
     • Grants available for undergraduate students pursuing technical or professional degrees.\r\n\t\t
     • Eligibility: Students from BPL category who have passed 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.\r\n\t\t
     • Covers tuition fees, maintenance allowance, hostel, and mess charges.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\t
     • National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation:\r\n\t
       \r\n\t\t
       • Scholarship for students with disabilities pursuing professional\/technical degree courses.\r\n\t\t
       • Scholarship benefits: INR 1000 p.m. for Hostelers, INR 700 p.m. for Day Scholars.\r\n\t\t
       • Course fee reimbursement up to INR 10,000 per year.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\t
       • NTPC Scholarship for Engineering Students:\r\n\t
         \r\n\t\t
         • 35 scholarships for SC\/ST\/PC category students pursuing a 4-year degree in specific engineering disciplines.\r\n\t\t
         • Eligible disciplines: Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics\/Telecommunication Engineering.\r\n\t\t
         • Scholarship award: INR 1500 per month.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\t
         • ONGC Scholarship:\r\n\t
           \r\n\t\t
           • Offered to meritorious students of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering after the 6th semester.\r\n\t\t
           • Eligibility: Minimum 60% marks in 10+2 and annual family income not exceeding INR 1.5 lakhs.\r\n\t\t
           • Financial support: INR 12,000 for 1st and 2nd-year students, INR 18,000 for 3rd and 4th-year students.\r\n\t\r\n\t\r\n\r\n\r\n
