NMIMS Admission Dates 2026

The 2026-28 MBA admission round at NMIMS has ended. For the next 2027-29 MBA batch, students need to follow the NMAT 2026 schedule and the NMIMS MBA selection stages. Only ongoing and upcoming events are listed below.

NMIMS Courses and Fees

NMIMS Mumbai offers courses through 17 constituent schools. Its main study areas include management, engineering, pharmacy, law, commerce, design, architecture, and liberal arts. The major course groups and Mumbai campus fees are given below.

The MBA Core course offers flagship specialisations such as Finance, Marketing, Operations, Business Analytics, and Strategy. For B.Tech admission, NMIMS uses NMIMS-CET and does not accept JEE Main scores. International applicants can apply with SAT or ACT scores.

NMIMS Admission Process

MBA (Core and HR) at SBM Mumbai

Admission to MBA programmes at NMIMS SBM Mumbai happens in stages. The university considers only the first NMAT attempt score for selection. CAT, XAT, and GMAT scores are not accepted for the flagship MBA courses.

• Eligibility: Students must have a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate marks.
• Entrance: MBA Core needs a valid NMAT score of 209 overall with at least 62 sectional marks. MBA HR needs 190 overall with a minimum of 50 in each section.
• Competency Test: This carries 50% weightage in the selection process.
• Personal Interview: This carries 20% weightage.
• Academic profile: The remaining 30% weightage is based on academic record.
• Gender diversity: Under the NMIMS policy, 30% seats are reserved for female candidates.

For MBA Core at SBM Mumbai, final selection usually needs a higher overall NMAT score than the basic cutoff. For the General Category, earlier cycles show a typical selection range of 215 to 225.

B.Tech and UG Programmes

NMIMS conducts admission to UG courses such as B.Tech, B.Pharm, BBA, B.Com, BBA-LLB, and B.Des through NMIMS-CET. This is a computer-based entrance test run by NMIMS. B.Tech applicants cannot use JEE Main scores. SAT and ACT scores are allowed for international applicants.

• Eligibility for B.Tech: 10+2 with at least 45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
• Eligibility for B.Pharm + MBA: 10+2 with at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Mathematics.
• NMIMS-CET application fee: INR 2,000 per application.

Integrated and Postgraduate Programmes

For BBA-LLB and BA-LLB, NMIMS uses NMIMS-CET instead of CLAT. PG courses in commerce, science, economics, and design follow course-wise eligibility rules and may use NMIMS-CET or a relevant national entrance test. PhD admission is handled separately through a university-level entrance test and interview.

NMIMS Placements

In the 2025 placement season, NMIMS SBM Mumbai recorded the highest MBA Core CTC of INR 67.80 LPA, which was an international offer. The average CTC for MBA Core stood at INR 25.13 LPA, while the top-decile CTC was INR 40.60 LPA.

BFSI, management consulting, FMCG, technology, and e-commerce are among the main recruiting sectors. Aditya Birla Capital, American Express, Goldman Sachs, and Crisil have taken part in different placement seasons. NMIMS has more than 1,348 corporate partners.

PPOs form a major part of placements. In MBA Core, 37% of the batch received pre-placement offers, showing strong conversion from internships to final offers. The School of Technology and the pharmacy school conduct separate placements linked to IT, pharma, and healthcare roles.

NMIMS Rankings

NMIMS appears in several NIRF categories because it has schools in different fields. For SBM Mumbai, the 24 rank in Management is the most important national benchmark.

SBM at NMIMS has three international accreditations: AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. The Ministry of Education has also recognised NMIMS as a Category I institution, which gives it wider academic autonomy.

NMIMS Scholarships

NMIMS provides merit-cum-need scholarships through institutional support and outside funding routes. The main scholarship options for Mumbai campus students are listed below.

NMIMS does not take capitation fees and does not run a management quota. Admission is based on merit. Students can also apply for education loans through tie-ups with major nationalised and private banks. For MBA aspirants, the Mirae Asset Foundation scholarship is one of the highest-value aid options.

NMIMS Campus and Infrastructure

NMIMS Mumbai is located at Vile Parle West in Mumbai’s western suburbs. Its campus has more than 5,50,000 sq. ft. of built-up space in a multi-storey complex that houses 17 constituent schools. Facilities include more than 60 air-conditioned classrooms, specialist laboratories, case-study rooms, and a central library with over 50,000 volumes of books, journals, and audio-visual material.

Hostels are available for male and female students. NMIMS has 8 campuses across India: Mumbai (headquarters), Shirpur, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Navi Mumbai, Chandigarh, and Sanand. The Mumbai campus works as the main academic and administrative hub.

Student activity at NMIMS includes chapters in finance, marketing, consulting, and social entrepreneurship. The student council organises annual business conclaves and inter-school fests. Across campuses, NMIMS has more than 900 faculty members, with many holding doctoral degrees.

NMIMS vs SPJIMR vs IMT Ghaziabad

NMIMS SBM Mumbai, SPJIMR Mumbai, and IMT Ghaziabad attract many of the same MBA applicants, especially students taking NMAT or CAT for private B-schools outside the IIM system. All three are AICTE-approved, have strong placement records, and fall in the INR 20 to 30 lakhs fee range.

NMIMS stands out for having all three major accreditations and for offering courses across many disciplines. SPJIMR has a higher NIRF Management rank and a stronger average CTC, helped by a smaller and more selective batch. IMT Ghaziabad gives a wider CAT-based admission route, has a larger cohort, and has strong recruiter access in North India. For students applying through NMAT, NMIMS is the main high-ranked choice because SPJIMR and IMT do not accept NMAT.
