Alagappa University was founded in May 1985 which provides a variety of UG, PG, Diploma, certificate courses. The Mode of Application in the University is both Online and Offline and the Basic Admission Criteria is through Entrance tests and Merit-Based.
The University offers B.Ed., B.Sc., B. Voc., B.P. Ed., D.P. Ed., BFA, BPA courses at the UG Level and offers MA, MBA, MCA, M.Ed., M.Sc., M.Com., M. Voc., M.P. Ed., MFA, MPA, M.Lib.I.Sc., MSW, MJMC programs at the PG level.

- Weightage of marks for PhD. Program is 85% marks for the written test and 15% marks for the interview.

Alagappa University admission dates for all the courses have not been notified but the assumed dates have been released. The online admission process will start from the third week of April in 2024 and will end in the third week of May and the fifth week of June for entrance and non-entrance programs respectively. Entrance tests for all the courses will be conducted in the fifth week of May in 2024.
