Kalyani University UG Admission 2024

The application for admission for the UG courses offered by the University of Kalyani should be made by August 2024. There are currently two courses offered, namely B. Tech and B LISc.

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility is expected from the applicant for UG courses:

• • For B.Tech: The candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized university/ board with science subjects (Physics/ chemistry/ mathematics) and should have a valid score in WBJEE.
  • For B. Ed course: The candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized university/ board with science subjects (Physics/ chemistry/ mathematics) or should be a graduate.
  • For B. LIS.: Candidate should have passed 10+2 from a recognized university/ board with science subjects (Physics/ chemistry/ mathematics)

• For B.P.Ed: Graduation with Physical Education with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate

Selection Criteria

The following selection criteria are expected for the applicant for UG courses:

• Admission into B.tech is based on a valid score in WBJEE.
• Admission into the B.Ed course the candidate will be based on the candidate's performance in the higher secondary or graduation exam.
• Admission into B. LIS the course will be merit-based.
• Admission into B.P.Ed is based on the basis of a valid score secured in the entrance test conducted by the university 

Kalyani University PG Admission 2024

Applications for admission to the University of Kalyani's postgraduate programs must be submitted by September 2024. There are currently 16 PG courses in the arts and commerce stream, 17 in the science stream, and 2 in the education stream offered by the college.

Eligibility Criteria

• The following eligibility is expected from the applicant of PG Courses:
• For M. Com: The candidate should have passed the B.com honours degree.
• For MSc: The candidate should graduate in their respective subject, and honours should be made on an honours degree from a recognized university/ board with science subjects (Physics/ chemistry/ mathematics)
• For MA: The candidates should graduate in their respective subject, and honours should be made on an honours degree.
• For M. Tech: The candidate should pass in B.E. /B. Tech. /M.Sc. Computer Science/ MCA or BCA degree and also should have secured a valid GATE score.
• For MBA: The candidate should be graduated in any of the disciplines. (Final year student) The selection of specialization will depend on the educational background of the candidate and also should have secured a valid MAT/CAT/CMAT/JEMAT/ WBJEMAT score.
• For DHHM: Graduate in any discipline
• For D.Lit: Postgraduation in the concerned subject with 55% marks in aggregate
• For D.Sc: Master’s in the concerned subject with 55% marks in aggregate
• For MCA/MRM/MFA/M.Lib: Graduation with Mathematics as a compulsory subject from a recognized education university
• For M.Ed: Graduation with 55% marks in aggregate or Master’s in the concerned subject from a recognized university
• For M.PED: Must pass B.P.Ed from a recognized university

Selection Criteria

The following eligibility is expected for the applicant of PG Courses:

• The Entrance Test for various Post-graduate courses in Science, Arts & Commerce, MRDM, M.Ed., M.Tech. in Environmental Management will consist of only a written.
• There will be no entrance test for admission to the 5-Year Integrated M.Sc. Course in Statistics. Admission is on the basis of marks obtained in the Higher Secondary or equivalent examination.
• The selection in the MCA course is through state level examination (JECA) conducted by Joint Entrance Board, West Bengal.
• The selection in the DHHM course is based on a Written test conducted by the Department of Business Administration, Kalyani University followed by Group Discussion and viva-voce.
• Admission into M. Tech will have applicants for the course shortlisted based on their GATE exam scores. The shortlisted candidates have to attend the written examination by the university. After passing the written exam, candidates are invited to an interview as the final stage of selection. A final merit list is then prepared based on GATE exam score, written test marks, and performance in the interview round
• For admission into the MBA course, the candidates who apply for the course will be shortlisted as per the MAT /CAT /CMAT /JEMAT/ WBJEMAT exam score. The shortlisted candidates have to attend the group discussion by the university. After group discussion, the candidates will be further called for an interview as the last selection stage.
• A final merit list is then prepared based on MAT /CAT /CMAT /JEMAT/ WBJEMAT exam score, written test marks, and performance in the interview round.

Kalyani University PhD & M.Phil Admission 2024

Kalyani University offers both PhD and M.Phil degrees and the duration of all these programmes is around 2-5 years.

Eligibility Criteria

Must obtain 55% marks with the relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/ differently abled in the Master's degree/ qualifying degree.

Selection Criteria

A candidate shall be exempted from appearing in the EEARP provided that he/she —

1. has qualified in NET/SLET/SET/GATE /KURAT/KURET or any other National or State level test for pursuing teaching or research.
2. was admitted through entrance test in M.Phil/M.Tech. course (other than a five-year integrated M.Tech. course) and has obtained M.Phil/M.Tech. Degree from this University or from any other University/Institute recognized by this University
3. is a whole time teacher of this University or any other University / Institute recognized by this University
4. is a whole time teacher of Govt./Govt. aided College

A candidate shall be exempted from appearing in the M.Phil. Admission Test provided that he/she has qualified in NET/SLET/SET/GATE /KURAT/KURET/ EEARP or any other national or State level test for pursuing teaching or research.

Kalyani University Certificate Admission 2024

The University of Kalyani is going to conduct the following Certificate Courses under RUSA Component 10 (Entrepreneurship & Career Hub). The interested candidate may send their applications in respective e-mail ids within 27.10.2021. 

Eligibility:

Candidates should need to hold a bachelor's degree in the respective field.

Selection:

The selection for the certificate course is based on the merit list prepared by the college.

Kalyani University Application process 2024

The candidates have to follow the below steps to apply online for admission to the University of Kalyani:

1. Visit the official website of the University of Kalyani for an application form.
2. The candidate will be asked to enter their name, phone number, personal Email ID, and password to create an account.
3. In the account, the candidates can choose the course for which they would like to apply.
4. Candidates will be required to fill out the information about their education, including the name of their school, the exam board, the year they passed, and the percentage of marks they received, on the application form.
5. The candidates should upload the following documents to support their claim:
6. A self-attested true copy of the Domicile certificate of West Bengal state.
7. A self-attested true copy of the caste certificate issued by the appropriate body (applicable to candidates belonging to the reserved category)
8. A true copy of the most recent non-creamy layer certificate from a previous educational institution, which has been self-attested. All original certificates, as well as a copy of the migration certificate from any prior universities, were attended.
9. The candidates who are applying for post-graduation would have to enter details of their graduation like name of university, course, and marks scored.
10. The candidates have to upload their colour photographs in jpeg. Format. The photograph size should not exceed 25KB and should be approximately 140 x 160 pixels.
11. Finally, an acceptance of declaration i.e. all the information entered is correct to your knowledge.
12. Click the submit button. This will take you to the gateway for paying registration Fees.
13. The candidate has to pay an online registration fee which would be different from the course you choose. Online Payment Gateway facility enables payment through e-banking facilities like Credit cards (Visa/MasterCard) / Debit Card / Internet banking.
