What I Liked

Campus is built on the mountain so nice view and lust green
New IIT so infrastructure is good , teacher are also good, they are also ready to help you

What I didn’t like

Like mostly are south indian so they don't know Hindi may be it will create problems so people
Like there is no swimming pool and their own running track

Remarks:

Like it is in kerala, I am a North Indian guy here I can improve my communication skills and I like electrical engineering that here only I was getting , like here a good chance of branch change also , because there is branch change according to category

IIT Palakkad Review by a First Year

What I Liked

I like the faculty the faculty almost all of them are so good , so caring and experienced from teaching in different IITs to working in industries.
I like the social life here because this a small IIT it has less students and this makes making connection much easier and easy to learn more.

What I didn’t like

One thing I hate about it’s weather the weather is always hot here , even in December you can sleep in shorts and banyan. And in summer season it becomes to much hot . It is because of the humid type of climate
Another thing is the language issue not only inside college but mainly outside college , many of the locals just speak Malayalam and do not speak Hindi , that makes it harder when you travel outside the campus.

Remarks:

To be honest I am from Data science branch at IIT Palakkad Got such a good branch at such a low rank in one of the best performing 2G and 3G IIT’s If we talk about interviews or written test give JEE mains and then JEE Advanced and sit for JOSAA counselling.

IITPKD - Nurturing minds for better world

What I Liked

I like infrastructure . It's very modern with all technology in the hostels
I like food and campus life in the college. The campus is such a beautiful place to see.

What I didn’t like

I don't like weather sometimes . It will be very hot in the summer.
I don't like location of clg it is 10 km away from town.

Remarks:

There are good and bad aspects of my college. It is IIT and education is very good. The admission process is through jee advanced. We should qualify jee mains and jee advanced to get into iits. Cutoff will be different for various categories.we should prepare very hard for IIT.

What I Liked

College building structure very beautiful and pleasing
The campus is very green and beautiful overall

What I didn’t like

Construction is still going on in some parts
There is no proper grass football turf ground

Remarks:

Admission is based on JEE advanced rank as it is one of the IITs. cut off marks to qualify it changes every year. the year I wrote it was around 80 for OBC. My preparation was in an institution called Xylem. it was an online course.

Life at IIT Palakkad

What I Liked

campus life is the best according to me as there are numerous clubs and events always going there
faculties are very helping , they are there for you for everything.

Remarks:

So, I got this IIT allowed through JOSSA counseling, I read on Quora that this is a new IIT so there are lots of opportunities there, and also because of overall less strength there is a very high chance of individual growth

Everything about IIT Palakkad

Remarks:

Jee advanced is the only criteria to get admission in IIT Palakkad. Reservation on category basis and for female students is there. The cut off rank for the admission keeps changing but last years cut off rank might help you. We currently have 5 branches CSE, Data Science , Electrical, Mechanical and Civil. Since the number of students is less you will have a lot of opportunities and exposure as compared to other IITs.

Indian Institute Of Technology–Palakkad (IIT–Palakkad)

What I Liked

Our college has excellent facilities and infrastructure for students, including Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art labs, modern classrooms and a well-stocked library.
Evaluation is done continuously, which is good. Semester exams are difficult at times but usually score well. Almost everyone can pass the semester.

What I didn’t like

The faculty is good but they are not very experienced. The first year is full of irrelevant courses, just like any engineering college. Teaching quality is good.
Infrastructure is under the construction at this time.

Remarks:

I'm from the palakkad that's why I choose this college. I didn't face any tests or anything. The staff is highly educated and friendly with students and the college have fresh campus , environmental friendly.

Decent for a third gen IIT

What I Liked

Overall experience is average. But still missed somethings like infrastructure.
Strength is low so there's a good student to faculty ratio.

What I didn’t like

Campus Life is not satisfactory. As it is still under construction.
Schedule is a bit hectic. There are many class and assignments.

Remarks:

For the iit tag and good branch I chose this college. You need to clear JEE advanced to get an admission in any IIT. They were no interviews for admission into this college. This is a third gen IIT so we can't expect much.
