To be honest I am from Data science branch at IIT Palakkad Got such a good branch at such a low rank in one of the best performing 2G and 3G IIT’s If we talk about interviews or written test give JEE mains and then JEE Advanced and sit for JOSAA counselling.

There are good and bad aspects of my college. It is IIT and education is very good. The admission process is through jee advanced. We should qualify jee mains and jee advanced to get into iits. Cutoff will be different for various categories.we should prepare very hard for IIT.

Admission is based on JEE advanced rank as it is one of the IITs. cut off marks to qualify it changes every year. the year I wrote it was around 80 for OBC. My preparation was in an institution called Xylem. it was an online course.

So, I got this IIT allowed through JOSSA counseling, I read on Quora that this is a new IIT so there are lots of opportunities there, and also because of overall less strength there is a very high chance of individual growth

Jee advanced is the only criteria to get admission in IIT Palakkad. Reservation on category basis and for female students is there. The cut off rank for the admission keeps changing but last years cut off rank might help you. We currently have 5 branches CSE, Data Science , Electrical, Mechanical and Civil. Since the number of students is less you will have a lot of opportunities and exposure as compared to other IITs.

I'm from the palakkad that's why I choose this college. I didn't face any tests or anything. The staff is highly educated and friendly with students and the college have fresh campus , environmental friendly.

For the iit tag and good branch I chose this college. You need to clear JEE advanced to get an admission in any IIT. They were no interviews for admission into this college. This is a third gen IIT so we can't expect much.
