There are wide variety of roles being offered. Across different departments from HR, Marketing, Finance to consulting. Approximately 80 companies visited last year for summer internship and around 70 for final placements.

Like final placement, companies also offer internship opportunities when they come for a placement, this year around 120 companies came for a placement and 11 students got an international placement. this highest stipend was 2 lakh and the average stipend was around 70000. the companies offered different roles in finance and marketing. operations etc. This year IIM Sirmaur achieved a 100% summer internship placement record

The internship opportunities are provided by the institute. There are many recruiters that come for internship like EY, DE Shaw, Collegedunia, DCM Shriram, ICICI, HDFC,etc with roles in various domains like marketing, finance, HR.

Summer internships are mandatory for MBA students after completing the first year. This opportunity helps students get a chance to experience corporate life before working full-time. The placement committee of our college brought many big companies to get students placed for summer internships.

I interned as a Business Development Intern at Quantel.in, which is an EdTech startup providing online learning solutions. My main responsibilities included researching potential markets, generating leads, pitching to clients and helping close new business deals for their products. It was an extremely enriching experience that allowed me to apply sales and marketing strategies in the education sector. I got to understand the operations of a young organization and contribute towards its growth plans. The founders were seasoned entrepreneurs who mentored me closely. In addition to learning business development tactics, I also honed crucial skills like client relationship management, negotiation, market analysis and making effective presentations. Overall, this internship provided me valuable industry experience and insights into the emerging EdTech space before my final placements.
