Mahindra University Admission Dates 2027

Mahindra University has closed admissions for the 2026-27 session. For the 2027-28 cycle, the university is expected to follow a similar admission pattern, with MUSAT held between January and March 2027 and merit-based offers issued for B.Tech. MBA admission for the 2027-29 batch is expected to start from November 2026 onward.

For B.Tech admission, JEE Main is accepted but not compulsory. Students may also apply through MUSAT. LLB admission is based on CLAT or a Mahindra University aptitude score. MBA admission uses CAT, XAT, GMAT, or GRE scores, followed by a group discussion and personal interview at the university.

Mahindra University Courses and Fees

The M.Tech fee of INR 2.2 Lakhs for 2 years is linked to Mahindra University’s GATE-fellowship-based pricing. Students with qualifying GATE scores can get a major fee concession. Hostel charges are separate and can go up to INR 1.7 Lakhs per year for both boys and girls.

Mahindra University Admission Process

Mahindra University admits students mainly through MUSAT, its own entrance test, while also accepting national-level exam scores for several programmes. The university usually gives rolling offers instead of running only one counselling round.

B.Tech Admission

• Eligibility: Students must pass 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and at least 60% aggregate. There is no strict upper age limit.
• Entrance pathway: Students can appear for MUSAT, the Mahindra University Scholarship and Aptitude Test, held in multiple slots between January and April, or use a valid JEE Main 2027 score. Both routes are considered for admission.
• Selection stages: The process includes MUSAT registration, test, result declaration, merit list preparation, offer letter, fee payment, and start of classes in July to August.
• Scholarship link: MUSAT rank decides the scholarship amount. The top rankers get a 100% tuition waiver, the next band gets 50%, and other bands receive lower waivers.

LLB and Integrated Law (BALLB / BBALLB / B.Tech + LLB)

• Eligibility: For 5-year integrated law courses, students need 10+2. For the 3-year LLB, students need graduation in any stream with 45%. CLAT or MU-level aptitude scores are considered.
• Process: Applicants apply to the School of Law. Shortlisting is done through CLAT score or MU aptitude score, and final offers are made after a personal interview.

MBA Admission

• Eligibility: Applicants must have a graduation degree in any discipline with at least 50% aggregate. A valid CAT, XAT, GMAT, or GRE score is required.
• Process: The university first shortlists students using entrance scores. Shortlisted students then attend a group discussion and personal interview at the Mahindra University campus in Hyderabad. Work experience is preferred, but it is not compulsory.

M.Tech Admission

M.Tech admission at Mahindra University is mainly based on GATE. Students without a GATE score can take a Mahindra University written test. GATE-qualified students with strong scores are given priority and may also receive fellowship support. Specialisations include AI and Data Science, Robotics, Biomedical Engineering, VLSI Design, Electric Vehicle Engineering, and Structural Engineering.

Mahindra University Placements

Mahindra University’s Career Development and Placement Cell, or CDPC, manages placements. It arranges Pre-Placement Talks, technical rounds, HR rounds, and large recruitment drives. In the 2024-25 placement season, more than 220 companies took part, including Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte, and multinational engineering companies.

Students from CSE, AI, and Mathematics and Computing usually receive the strongest placement outcomes because of market demand. Mechanical and Civil students often move into core roles in manufacturing and infrastructure companies. Some hiring is also supported through the Mahindra Group pipeline, including Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd and Tech Mahindra. Law graduates from the 3-year LLB programme usually look at litigation, corporate counsel roles, and internship-to-hire routes at law firms in Hyderabad and Mumbai. Mahindra University Scholarships

Mahindra University gives merit scholarships based on MUSAT performance and JEE Main scores. The university does not offer income-based institutional scholarships, but eligible students can apply for national government schemes.

For B.Tech students, MUSAT scholarships are the main way to reduce the total cost of studying at Mahindra University. A student with a JEE rank below 5,000 can get a full tuition fee waiver and may need to pay only hostel and other charges. Scholarships are renewed every year if the student maintains the minimum CGPA required by the university.

Mahindra University Campus and Infrastructure

Mahindra University has a 103-acre campus in Hyderabad, Telangana. It includes 17 buildings and more than 12.6 lakh sq.ft. of academic and residential built-up area. The campus grew further in 2024 after Tech Mahindra transferred the facility to the university.

The academic facilities include engineering labs, design studios, a moot courtroom for law students, technology-enabled MBA classrooms, a library with digital access, and a research centre. The campus also has separate hostels for boys and girls, a multi-cuisine cafeteria, sports grounds, and a health centre. Its engineering blocks also reflect the French engineering connection built through the Ecole Centrale partnership.
