The admission was done through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). I got a rank around 5000, but I had the state domicile reservation and so got the admission. There was no group discussion or anything else. I choose the college merely because the NLU tag seemed tempting and the college was in my home city. No other factors really appealed to me at the time of admission.

There were many factors Location is so beautiful. It is heaven for the mountain lovers. This is one of the fastest growinh NLU. Faculty is so good. University gives so many options like moot competitions, ADR competitions and many more.

The college is a National Law University, which is among the most prestigious law institutes of the country, it is located in the hills, which makes it visibly scenic. Also the admission is done after conducting an all india examination called CLAT. The college is a part of the consortium of NLUs, that provides admission in all these 25 NLUs. The access to a government college, access to the NLU network and the induction of various other legal skill was something that I considered before choosing this college.

I have appeared in clat 2023 and got a rank of 3911. I ever wanted to be a lawyer earlier because its sophistication fascinated me a lot but now this national law university taught me a lot more about the field and its functioning. I am looking forward to completing 3 more years of upcoming joy in learning ‘a law’ and ‘the law’ in this beautiful university located at Shimla.
