The tale of a doctor.

What I Liked

The campus is very beautiful, it's green and the people here are very polite. We have 4 canteens with many options, mostly we don't have to step out of the campus to grab a bite
The faculty is very helpful, if you are sincere and approach them, they will guide not only with academic problems even with your non academic problems

What I didn’t like

Every medical college has a bond for 4 and half year, meaning fees is to be paid for only 4 and half year but in our college we have to pay fees for 5 years
The university in which we are situated is Jamia hamdard so we have many different students we see in the campus, and also the hostel is not exclusively for mbbs students it's mixed

Placement Experience:

The eligibility of placement is after the internship. Then you can join as non pg Jr. We can be hired in hospitals, medical colleges, corporate sector etc The highest package is from a corporate company which above 1 lakh rupees If joining anywhere else will give you average of 80,000 rupees. My plans after getting the degree is not to work rather study for neet pg examination to become a post graduate.

Internships Opportunities:

The internship in our college is very good, because of high flow of patients. You will learn about the rare cases. Also the more work you do the more you improve. The learning curve in internship sky rockets because of all the skills you develop in our college

Reviewing HIMSR after an experience of four years

What I Liked

Decent infrastructure, good Operation Theatres and a functional reading room
The sports facilities are sub par but the campus is lush green.

What I didn’t like

Intruders and ex students are sometimes a nuisance (not from mbbs but other departments)
They sould charge less tuition fee for general students

Placement Experience:

For mbbs student they provide 25000 per year in internship. You can apply for JR ship and the salary would be around 80000. You can also pursue your PG in our HAHC hospital and the salary would be again around 80000.

Internships Opportunities:

Not opted for internship yet....but hopefully I will pursue internship from 1st of March next year. The internship would also include 9 weeks of posting in some district hospital in Delhi which would give you an ample exposure

What I Liked

The faculty is amazing and always keen to teach
The patient inflow in very good and hence students get to learn a lot

What I didn’t like

The hostel is average and the mess is average too
The college lacks societies per say and lacks equipments for different societies

Placement Experience:

The students have to undergo a 1 year compulsory internship in the college’s hospital itself which is hakeem Abdul Hameed centenary hospital which is a tertiary care hospital and provides all the exposure in all the departments

Internships Opportunities:

The college offers one year compulsory internship in the hakeem Abdul hameeed centenary hospital which gives exposure to ally the departments of the medical field and the students are also posted in the peripheral hospitals for more experience

HIMSR- a dream to your medical career

What I Liked

the infrastructure is great. we have big spacious LT’s with air conditioners . we have reading rooms for study also.
the campus life is also good. the campus is safe and there are shops and canteens in proximity so everything is convenient.

Placement Experience:

placement depends on your Overall resume. after the course every student has to do an internship in the same hospital as per NMC. so which provides a good opportunity to work as real doctors and see patients along side our superiors.
