We had to give CET exam online and i choose this university because as compared to other colleges teachers are helpful and strict that is required to get best education from such kind of prestigious college.

We didn't have to give any exams for getting the admission, on the basis of our 12th marks , we got the chance to take an admission. There were different cut offs for different streams, I had a pure science background, their cut off for science background was 60% and above, I had that , so I got admitted.

For admission in my time wbjee exam was held by the government of west bengal. If you get a good rank you can easily take admission. Other than that jee mains exam is also there. Only rank is required you don't need to go through any interview or group discussion if you get a good rank. But now they are not taking participation in those exams. Now they are taking admission through their own exam IEMJEE. I chose IEM because in west bengal it's one of the prestigious college. And more over they promise for 100% placement records.

This is the best btech college in kolkata. A lot of disciplined compared to the rest. Scope to learn new things in software as well as hardware. They have very good placements almost 100% and their highest package is 72lpa.

The discipline factor is taken very seriously in this college. Punctuality , dedication and proper decorum is expected of everyone. Admission is done throught the college's own entrance exam IEMJEE with cut off depending upon the number of students. Top 50-ish students are admitted in core CSE with 100-ish in the specializations. Rest are taken through management quota.100-300 students are taken in the ECE while the rest in other branches.

The good aspects is that they try to get you ready for almost everything, which can sometimes be a bit too strenuous but it's somewhat worth it. There's wayy too many extra curricular activities and not all of them are fun. It does suck to wear a uniform to college everyday, and for some reason its always tight, so I would recommend making it from somewhere else and not buying the college uniform. The admission process is quite simple, you can either enter through the different competitive exams like JEE and WBJEE, or give their very own exam called IEMJEE. Based on your performance you will be given your branch and what you can choose from. I had gotten CSE but I took ECE as it seemed more interesting and less crowded.

In kolkata of you compare other private engineering colleges then you will understand that placement iem is still better compared. Fir addmission you need to give wb jee to get chance in IEM saltlake campus or iem jee to get admission in Newtown campus. After you have secured the required marks they will call you again for addmission process and you get your course according to the marks obtained. If you have secured a descent marks then you can also choose your course. In wbjee you have to score a rank of 5000 or more and in iem jee you have to again get a rank of nearly 5000 or more.

Good aspects of my college is that its placement rate is higher than any of the private colleges in the state of West Bengal and It is well reputed among all private colleges. I have chosen this college because I want college near my area and its reputation is one of the factor. I have given IEMJEE for admission in this college but direct admission is also available in this college.

The main factors that made me to choose this college is the placements of this college.Also my father told me to come in this college. That's why I came to this college.I didn't given any interview to enter in this college.The admission process is JEE/WBJEE/IEMJEE
