- Over strictness regarding attendance and punctuality
- Questionable teaching methods of some professors
Remarks :
The discipline factor is taken very seriously in this college. Punctuality , dedication and proper decorum is expected of everyone. Admission is done throught the college's own entrance exam IEMJEE with cut off depending upon the number of students. Top 50-ish students are admitted in core CSE with 100-ish in the specializations. Rest are taken through management quota.100-300 students are taken in the ECE while the rest in other branches.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Electronics and communication was my calling because I always found circuits ,ICs and antaennas interesting. Every teacher is more than qualified enough to teach the students but the methodology of some of the professors are questionable. The term exam is hard enough to assess the students.

I have opted an internship at iedc ece lab and am builidng a rover for the erc.HTere are both paid and unpaid oppertunities to persue interships and learn from the them. Renowned companies and intituions offer internship offers
Placement Experience :
The eligibity criteria for sitting in the placements is the absence of backlog exams. TCS,Cognizant are mass recruiters that are visit during placements.Highest placement package was 72lpa by amazon but more commonly mass recruiting programs like TCS ninja who offer4-5lpa were common.THe college claims a 100% placement but in reality it is more of 50-60%
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year is divided into 2 semesters with each semester fees being 85000. Every subsequent batch the fees in increased by 10000. Admission is done through its own entrance exam- IEMJEE. Admission fees is 1,10,000 with the first semester fees already included.There are schpolarships available to those in need of financial aid. Every semseter a sum of 1200 must be paid as a semster exam fees.
Campus Life :
The cultural fest is IEMpact which happens in the month of January - February , There are also the tech fest known as the Innovacion . Conferences like the IEMPhys and IEMEntech happen through the year.The are different clubs in the college including the - Western dance, Classical dance , Western music, Classical music ,Drama etc.There are sports facilities available in the college like a cricket pitch, carrom and TT boards which are accessible after the clg hours or during the break

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
