good college for some reason
Remarks :
The good aspects is that they try to get you ready for almost everything, which can sometimes be a bit too strenuous but it's somewhat worth it. There's wayy too many extra curricular activities and not all of them are fun. It does suck to wear a uniform to college everyday, and for some reason its always tight, so I would recommend making it from somewhere else and not buying the college uniform. The admission process is quite simple, you can either enter through the different competitive exams like JEE and WBJEE, or give their very own exam called IEMJEE. Based on your performance you will be given your branch and what you can choose from. I had gotten CSE but I took ECE as it seemed more interesting and less crowded.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The Course curriculum is hugeeee as they not only teach you what you have taken but also other stuff, like aptitude and all that for different competitive exams and interviews. The reason I chose ECE is because it seemed interesting and it was definitely less crowded than CSE branches and in the future I could change to whichever branch I wanted as ECE is core. The professors here are quite potent, but yes there are some bad nuts. You really can't expect the best faculty anywhere, even in IITS. Most of them are M.Tech or PhD and I guess some are B.Tech. There are 3 exams per sem. Two midsems and one end sem. The midsems are not that serious as the marks do not get added to your SGPA, the end sems are not that hard. Studying well for like a month before the exams is enough to land you 9 SGPA. (You can also study the day before, but I would not recommend it, the syllabus is HUGE).
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee per semester is around 85k. If you avail other stuff like the college bus and their own pg, then the fees of that is also added into the semester fee. I don't know how much that is, but I've heard that the bus fee is quite unfair. There is a scholarship for people who had gotten 90+ percentile in JEE or WBJEE and also for those who have scored above 9 cgpa. You have to enroll for this scholarship or you won't get it. The fees is actually increasing every year for new students. Our seniors had to pay around 70k per sem, but we are paying 85k. I think our juniors are paying around 95k or something.
Campus Life :
Campus life isnt really all that great. You arent allowed to enter whenever you want or leave whenever you want. It sometimes feels like a prison. Yes you can bunk classes and all(You will have to find a safe haven of sorts). We do find our ways around the system. There are quite a few fests and stuff that happen here. IEMPACT is happening this month only(February). Theres also other activities and lots and lots of hackathons and different events. The library is open 24/7 so you can avail books whenever you want. The classrooms have a projector but no AC. I think they are planning to add AC's to the classrooms. There's a basketball court and a VERY small ground where you can play badminton and other sports. We do have a field at a distance where the football and cricket competitions happen. Theres also carrom, TT, pool or snookers and gym equipment. There aren't many clubs but theres a few like Music, Dance, Drama, Football.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
