In kolkata of you compare other private engineering colleges then you will understand that placement iem is still better compared. Fir addmission you need to give wb jee to get chance in IEM saltlake campus or iem jee to get admission in Newtown campus. After you have secured the required marks they will call you again for addmission process and you get your course according to the marks obtained. If you have secured a descent marks then you can also choose your course. In wbjee you have to score a rank of 5000 or more and in iem jee you have to again get a rank of nearly 5000 or more.
I have chosen btech in computer science with AI and ML because I was interested in that field and it also has a good scope in future. I really am not a fan of the curriculum of our college, I am currently in 2nd semester of my 1st year and we have to study history, geography, civics, economics, french, chemistry, physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, engineering biology, engineering drawing etc. from which I feel some courses are really unnecessary and will do no good in my future. Every semester they complete 1 programming language which is to much to take as they focus more on academics which filled with other subjects the main subject becomes weak. We also experience exams whole year. Every semester their are 2 mid terms then 2 practical exams then 1 sessional exam the finally the semester exam. Every has a toughness level of moderate to hard.
Currently I am in my 1st year so till now their is no such thing happening. Though I have heard they do something about internship in 3rd year but currently I personally have no idea about the internship programmes they provide
I thought it would be good but this year so many of our seniors did not get placed many good companies did not arrive in our campus for placement. To be honest the placement is really below average during admission they Will lie about how all their students get placed but don't fall into that trap. I have no idea about the internships currently as it will start from 3rd year.
Everytime six months that is each semester you need to pay around 1 lakhs which makes it 2 lakhs yearly and 8 lakhs for the whole course. Their is no such scholarship system rather you need to pay extra donation if you have not secured above 75 % in 12th or have not clear iem jee which is their official examination.
Becouse of such a huge amount of academic pressure students mostly fail to continue their hobbies and co circular activities. Every 2 main fests take place and honestly it's of very bad quality. Their is no proper stage or auditorium and also it's not even fun. Their are clubs but they are not that active. Infrastructure is bad, it's a small college building and quiet average.
I don't live in hostel but hostel is available once your admission process is done they give you all details of the hostel. As fas as i have heard the food quality is bad and you need to be inside your hostel within 7 pm
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
