Course Curriculum Overview:

The curiculum is autonomous meaning the college has the power to change it according to the industry demand , the college helps to provide knowledge in core subjects as well as in the upcoming trending topics like AI ML, iot data science etc

Remarks:

I chose SPIT because of its strong academic reputation, excellent placement records and strong alumini. Also the crowd of the college is very competitive which will help to step up, it is one of the top autonomous colleges in mumbai

Placement Experience:

Placement and job opportunites are quite good in this college.Especially for IT Branches. Eligibility Criteria is usually -Minimum CGPA of 6.5 but it varies per company. -No active backlogs -some companies may have coding and aptitude tests. Top recruiters include JP Morgan Chase, Infosys, Google, Nvidia, Amazon etc. 400+ offers made across all branches as of 23-24 Highest Package offered was 61 LPA by Google - SDE Profile Average Package is 12-14 LPA Core CS Companies like Microsoft etc Percentages Of Students Placed Cse-95%+ Extc-85-90% If No Placement if offered SPIT promotes Internship to PPO culture Startup Support Off Campus Support

Remarks:

The College was close to where I lived with good placement offers and a campus that seemed pretty.A strong reputation and an efficient infrastructure. SPIT does not conduct GD,Interviews or Written tests for admissions. The exams accepted for admissions are MHT-CET and JEE. Preparation for these rounds were coaching classes and board exams. Cut Off as of last year was For General-99.2 For OBC-98.6 For SC-96 For ST-82 Only limiting area is the limited campus space of the college

Placement Experience:

The placements in spit has been decreasing from last year and this year it has decreased again but yes if you work on your skills it will help you to find internship in 4th year which is compulsory and it will also help you to find a good job and especially extc students toh have to work very hard

Remarks:

The main reason was that I was a mht cet student from the start and I knew that my parents won't allow me to go in Pune and take the addmission thier so in Mumbai I only had 2 opt vjti and spit and I loved the campus of spit so I selected that

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria: This depends on the company, but it is advised to keep the CGPA above 8. KPMG, Oracle, Work India, MSCI, Barclays, JPMC, HDFC, PhonePe are some of the recruiters. HIghest package offered was PhonePe- 33.3 lpa. Average package is 15.03 lpa. 100% students get placed who sit for the placements. My plan after getting a degree is getting a placement.

Remarks:

S.P.I.T. is Mumbai's third-best engineering college after IIT Bombay and VJTI. Based on my MHT-CET percentile (99.36%ile), I got admission here. The admission here is only merit-based depending upon the performance of MHT-CET or JEE. More seats are reserved for MHT-CET based admissions through Maharashtra CAP Rounds. I prepared for MHT-CET by solving a lot of mock papers and past year question papers. After the CAP Rounds, SPIT conducts institute level rounds, through which 20% of the total seats in each branch is filled based on merit ranks. After the institute level rounds, SPOT Rounds are conducted to fill in the remaining seats based on Merit Ranks only.

Placement Experience:

Eligibility criteria for placement - 60% JPMC, Idfy, Barclays, Baker Hughes, etc They generally take upto 7 to 8 students per company College holds record of 100% placement, so if you're decent enough you'll get a job from college itself.

Remarks:

Very good placements, median package of 9 to 11 lakhs, holds a record of 100% placement every one year. Best known for its placement team. The cut off every year is really high, as it is the second best colleges for engineering in Maharashtra around 98 to 99 percentile.

Placement Experience:

On campus placement percentage is 100% here. For On Campus, Highest package was 61 LPA, Average is 16LPA and Lowest is around 5 LPA Microsoft, Oracle, Barclays, JP Morgan Only 10-12% get the summer internship (companies: Barclays and General Mills) Software Developer, Associate App Developer roles

Remarks:

I chose this course for the brand reputation and the career opportunities it offers. While the course structure is strong, I wish for more focus on real-world applications and emerging technologies, and they should update the subjects. Admission process is done through MHCET and JEE Entrance exams. Cutoff for my branch (computer engineering) at that time was 99.3%tile MHCET but now it has dropped to 98.1%tile or some.

Placement Experience:

The eligibility criteria for placements is your cgpa being decent. Few of the recruiters visiting our campus are- Nomura, IDFC, Deutsche Bank, JPMC, Morgan Stanley, MSCI. Phonepay is the top company which offers 35 LPA

Remarks:

Firstly, after VJTI, the second best college in Mumbai is SPIT according to the cutoffs. But after talking to my seniors, I got to know that VJTI is not worth it opting for as the faculties there are not that good. Also, the higher studies prospects are good in my college as it has a good reputation.

I was interested in computers so I chose this course. The teachers are highly educated and experienced. And are very supportive. Lab sessions are also informative. Exam level is medium and are after 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Spit has a training and placement cell on top floor which look out for internship and placement for all students. They train students with mock interview and give opportunity to apply for best companies

Remarks:

The college had good placement history and it was autonomous as well. The syllabus was quite modernize as compared to MU and many seniors recommend this college as oppose to normal My colleges. The admission happens either through cap or institute round .

Placement Experience:

Placements is one the best factor which makes this college rank at the top. 100% placements are assured with good packages and companies participating. The highest package of 2022 was a staggering 110 L CTC offered by Amazon London to 1 student. The average package is around 20 Lacs.

Remarks:

So starting with the college campus, SPIT has the biggest campus with a lot of amenities. The second factor is its reputation in Maharashtra. It ranks among the best colleges in Maharashtra. The third and foremost factor is the placements of the college, they are very good.
