VVITU Admission Dates 2027

The 2027-28 admission cycle is expected to follow the regular APSCHE schedule. AP EAPCET registration is likely to start in February 2027, followed by the examination, result, and counselling stages.

Each programme group uses a separate entrance or selection route. The accepted examinations are listed below.

VVITU Courses and Fees

VVITU has 11 B.Tech specialisations and admits more than 1,500 students across them each year. CSE is the largest branch, with 480 seats. Programme fees extend from INR 2.15 lakhs for core M.Tech branches to INR 8.15 lakhs for selected B.Tech technology branches.

Separate hostels are available for male and female students. Accommodation costs between INR 75,000 and INR 1,00,000 per year, while mess charges are collected separately. The BBA Hons. in Artificial Intelligence is a 3-year undergraduate management course with a total fee of INR 6.15 lakhs.

VVITU Admission Process

VVITU selects students through programme-specific entrance examinations and university selection routes. B.Tech seats are divided between APSCHE counselling and the university's management quota, while postgraduate and research applicants follow the relevant examination requirements.

B.Tech Admission

Under APSCHE rules, the convener quota fills 70% of B.Tech seats through AP EAPCET counselling. VVITU directly handles admission to the remaining 30% management quota seats.

• Applicants must complete 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and obtain at least 45% aggregate, or 40% if they belong to a reserved category.
• A valid AP EAPCET score is required, although VVITU also accepts TS EAPCET and JEE Main scores.
• Students must be at least 17 years old on 31 December of the admission year.

The convener quota process follows these steps:

1. Register on the APSCHE portal after the entrance result is announced.
2. Complete certificate verification.
3. Enter the preferred colleges and branches through web options.
4. Review the allotted seat.
5. Report to VVITU and confirm admission within the stated deadline.

Students seeking a management quota seat must approach the VVITU admission office directly.

B.Tech Lateral Entry

Applicants with a diploma in the relevant engineering subject may enter the second year of B.Tech through AP ECET. A B.Sc degree with Mathematics is also accepted. At least 45% marks are required, and the university provides 10% supernumerary seats above the approved intake for this route.

M.Tech Admission

Admission to the 7 M.Tech specialisations is based on GATE or AP PGECET. Applicants need a B.Tech or B.E. in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks. After results are declared, eligible students apply directly to VVITU.

MBA and MCA Admission

A valid AP ICET score is needed for both the MBA in Artificial Intelligence and MCA. MBA applicants must hold a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks. MCA applicants need a BCA, B.Sc in Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification. Applications are submitted to VVITU after the AP ICET result.

Ph.D. Admission

Research programmes are available in Artificial Intelligence, CSE, ECE, EEE, Civil Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. Applicants must have an M.Tech or M.Sc degree with at least 55% marks and a valid UGC NET, GATE, or equivalent qualification. Final selection is based on the university entrance test and interview.

VVITU Cutoffs

AP EAPCET closing ranks can help applicants assess branch-level competition. For the OC category in 2025, the published closing ranks were 9,344 for CSE and 9,526 for ECE. AI-related branches closed within the broader 13,000 to 17,000 range, including the figures listed below. These ranks can be used as planning benchmarks for the 2027 admission cycle.

VVITU Placements

In the 2023-24 placement season, VVITU recorded placements for 793 B.Tech students and 8 M.Tech students. Amazon made the highest reported offer of INR 29 LPA, while Walmart offered INR 23 LPA. In one recruitment drive, Infosys selected 88 students with packages ranging from INR 3.6 LPA to INR 9.5 LPA. The reported average CTC for 2022-23 was INR 4.5 LPA.

Amazon, Walmart, Infosys, and Tech Mahindra are among the main recruiters. Most offers go to students from CSE and AI-related programmes. The university reports its own placement figures, and its NIRF submission included the 2023-24 data.

VVITU Rankings

VVITU is listed in the NIRF Innovation Rankings for its work in research and innovation. It is not currently part of the main ranked lists for the NIRF Engineering or University categories.

Band A represents positions 6 to 25 among India's private and self-financing institutions. The assessment considers innovation results, intellectual property creation, and connections with industry.

VVITU Campus and Infrastructure

VVITU operates from a multi-building campus in Namburu, Guntur district, 12 km from Guntur city. Each engineering department has a separate block with subject-specific advanced laboratories. Students also have access to computer laboratories with high-speed internet and seminar halls.

The academic facilities include a central library with digital materials, a training and skill development centre, and an incubation cell for student start-up projects. Research facilities and intellectual property development are also part of the university's innovation activities.

Male and female students have separate on-campus hostels near the academic blocks. Annual accommodation fees range from INR 75,000 to INR 1,00,000, excluding mess charges. The campus also provides sports courts, a gym, and other recreational facilities. Namburu railway station is nearby, and regular road services connect the campus with Guntur.

VVITU Scholarships

Students from Andhra Pradesh who belong to the SC, ST, BC, EBC, or Kapu categories may qualify for the state government's fee reimbursement programme. Eligibility depends on the annual family income limits fixed by the Andhra Pradesh government.

Eligible students submit their applications through the AP epass portal after joining VVITU. Before each academic year, the portal publishes the latest income limits and other eligibility conditions.

VVITU vs KL University vs Vignan University

Students exploring private deemed universities in Andhra Pradesh may compare VVITU with KL University in Vijayawada and Vignan University in Vadlamudi, Guntur. All three institutions accept AP EAPCET and JEE Main scores for B.Tech admission.

KL University has a NAAC A++ grade, a broader corporate network, and a stronger placement record. Because VVITU and Vignan University are both in Guntur district, they are direct options for students from the region. VVITU has a higher NIRF Innovation position than Vignan. Applicants who want to study close to home can compare their preferred branches and placement records before choosing between the two.
